  • Badland is an award-winning and critically acclaimed platform adventure game that takes place in an alien and hostile world split into hundreds of stages and several game-modes full of challenges.

  • Badland is a relatively simple game at heart that challenges you to complete level upon level of increasingly complex traps. It’s also real time, so don’t go into this thinking you can sit around and plan your escape. Plan for plenty of repetition and incremental progress.

  • Badlands is a lush and engaging adventure puzzle with stunning graphics, immersive sound and incredible gameplay. Definitely check it out, it’s quite possibly my favourite game of the whole year and worth every penny of the in app purchase.

  • BADLAND is utterly, uniquely creative. Its elaborate challenges set in surreality make you laugh and struggle and think laterally all once. Both the visual and audio designs are breathtaking. This innovation from Frogmind is highly worth a download.

  • Badland reeks of polish. It’s got an unbelievable physics engine and beautiful artwork that comes to life. And at the end of the day, it’s very much worth it’s $4.99 asking price — especially for those who love a good platformer. The astounding multiplayer is icing on an already-beautiful cake.

  • Without any of the microtransaction complications that so characterize the mobile scene right now, Badland stands apart as a world that draws you in completely and immerses you in its charms free of distractions.

  • That type of versatility and richness speaks to the strength of the core ideas behind Badland. In a marketplace lousy with them, Badland is a well-considered and well-executed physics-based puzzle-platformer, tetchy controls notwithstanding.

Though specifically told not to do so, you’ll end up tapping the screen in an attempt to gain finer control and still continuously bump into scenery. It’s a great shame, because with tighter controls Frogmind’s charismatic debut would be a memorable one, but as it is it lacks the power to draw you back into its world.

  • Though $3.99 seems like a high asking price for the typical iOS game, BADLAND is more than worth it with a beautiful, challenging single-player and fun multiplayer component, and the added bonus of more levels and a furthering of the mysterious story coming in a later update.

  • Great graphics are always appreciated, but Badland’s unique power-up system and how it interacts with each stage is what makes the title shine (dark though it may be). Unfortunately, there are only 40 stages to get through, so you won’t be occupied for too long, but Frogmind promises that more stages are on the way. After all, saving an entire ecosystem shouldn’t be a job you can blaze through in just one night.
