- While this may not be the best option to play one of gaming's most visible titles — we won't hold our breath for free updates any time, ever — it is still a very good way to experience Finland's biggest cultural export since the Moomins.
Jon Wahlgren · Oct 07, 2012 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Each version of Angry Birds Trilogy offers enough extras and enhancements to the base experience that it's certainly reasonable to call Angry Birds Trilogy the definitive edition for Rovio's million-selling titles. But the fact remains that these same games have already sold those millions.
Lucas M. Thomas · Oct 06, 2012 Reviewed on PS3, X360, 3DSRead full review - It’s quick and addictive, and before you realize how its fickle physics can be incredibly unfair, your game is interrupted by a phone call. It’s not the sort of game that works well when you want to cozy up on the couch for a few hours. It becomes repetitive, and you will come up with all sorts of new profanities when doing the same thing over and over on the same level miraculously works because that one brick fell slightly to the left.
Kyle Hilliard · Sep 25, 2012 Reviewed on PS3, X360 - If you don't own a portable device for playing Angry Birds, then this is a bumper package you'll want to invest in. Angry Birds aficionados need not apply though
Peter Willington · Oct 23, 2012 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - The more I played Angry Birds Trilogy on my Nintendo 3DS the more I realised that these games are better for free and on my mobile device. Using your finger for a quick swipe is much better than the 3DS’ separate touch screen or, god forbid, the Circle Pad. When these games were free they demanded the smallest amount of your time; just a few minutes at most. That’s now how long it takes to just go through the menu with the 3DS version. So do yourself and your wallet a favour, keep playing Angry Birds all you want on your mobile device but keep them out of your 3DS.
Alex St-Amour · Oct 12, 2012 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - All of which leaves Angry Birds Trilogy as a bit of an odd cuckoo in the console nest. As an advertisement for the merits of motion control, it's a gruesome failure. The game isn't likely to win over anyone who hasn't already played it to death elsewhere, nor does it add enough content to convince those players that even a budget-priced console version is a worthy replacement for the 69p apps they already have.
