Critic Reviews
- The game is free so check it out for yourself but I was left disappointed overall, not through the game’s quality but the fact the developer could have made this so much better.
Paul Wilks · Dec 30, 2013 Reviewed on And - Angry Birds Go is another fun entry in the franchise, but the in-app purchases completely disrespect the user. Not to mention the fact that I'd happily pay for in-game features like multiplayer, and the situation seems exacerbated. Even then, the racing is still worthwhile and begrudgingly entertaining.
Nathan Snelgrove · Dec 19, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Even though I found all the incessant pushing towards in-app purchases to be annoying I can’t deny that at its core, Angry Birds Go! is a well done game. It controls surprisingly perfectly for a mobile game, the graphics are stunning and feel like you’re playing a live action Angry Birds cartoon, and there is a lot of content in general to play through.
Robert Clark · Dec 13, 2013 Reviewed on AndRead full review - Angry Birds Go! is not a terrible game by any means. It looks great, handles really well, and (during those brief moments where you can actually play) is kind of fun. However, with their flawed monetization scheme, lack of online play, and dumbed down kart racing gameplay, I found myself more disappointed than anything.
Christopher Allison · Dec 13, 2013 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - Angry Birds Go! is a game that looks great and plays well, but it’s hampered by design flaws; both in its monetization and its attempts to make kart-racing idiot-proof. The problem, though, is that kart-racing has always been idiot-proof. By stripping out so much of what works in kart racing games, Angry Birds Go! fails to capture the same heart and passion of its competitors.
Jim Squires · Dec 12, 2013 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - Overall, Angry Birds Go! left a pleasant feeling for me. It’s not much different from other free-to-play racers, but its great graphics, and exciting, polished gameplay more than make up for the fact that you can only play for about fifteen minutes, before being forced to take a break.
Tony Kuzmin · Dec 12, 2013 Reviewed on And - Ultimately, Angry Birds Go! is a good game partially ruined by a paywall commonly found in mobile titles. That, and the lack of offline or online multiplayer means having to repeat the same old mini-games without real competition. We like Rovio's game, but would've gladly paid for a more full-featured product.
Chris Buffa · Dec 12, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - There's no doubt that those who enjoyed the original Angry Birds (and subsequent titles that have made their debut over the last several months) will also enjoy what they'll get out of Angry Birds Go! The racing element of the game is fresh, exciting, and adds a whole new dimension to the franchise.
Arron Hirst · Dec 11, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Highly recommended. It can be Rovio's, it can be Angry Birds, but above all these things, it's fun.
Peter Warrior · Dec 11, 2013 Reviewed on And - As a free-to-play game, Angry Birds Go! does a lot of things right. It never makes you feel like you have to spend money, it gives you plenty of things to do and, while there’s a point where it would seem that you can’t play any more unless you spend some cash, all you have to do is wait a little while and you’ll be able to play more without any problems.
