It Takes Two

A very refined game and the epitome of imagination and fun.

It's just such an enjoyable experience, plus you get to share the adventure with someone else.

The variety of gameplay and content is amazing. There are elements of puzzle solving, platformers, RPGs, exploration, and some that can't even be put into words.

This game just makes you feel like a kid \[if you aren't already one\]

What it does best though is the implementation of requiring teamwork and cooperation between the two players, giving it another layer of challenge and enjoyment.

Bought this game to let my cousins play it and it's super fun even when I'm just watching them play it on our TV. Perfect game if you're into SplitScreen or Couch-Coop games. I love how every chapter is very unique, has

multiple mini-games, have Cody and May possess different skills & abilities in each chapter makes it interesting to solve puzzles. It never gets boring for sure. This game made me happy, emotional, and laugh. Truly a great game! Sorry for bad English, it's not my main language. But every second is worth it!

Super Fun and Definitely an Awesome game!

I would argue that this is one of the best _purely_ Co-op games ever made.

The sheer amount of environments and the constantly switching game mechanics keeps the game constantly interesting. I think me and my cousin got bored playing this game like twice, throughout the entire game. Not only does it have great gameplay, it also has a funny and heartfelt story. Sure, the writing could be better, but just like A Way Out the campy-ness of the characters and the story is what makes the game even better, and by the end of the game you'll be very, very sad that the journey is over. It's a looong journey as well, for me and my cousin at least. I think we had roughly 10-15 hours worth of playtime in the game.

If you have that one person you always played co-op with as a kid, or even as an adult, _this_ is the game for you. Cannot recommend it enough for people who enjoy Co-op games.

Best Co-op Game Since A Way Out

In most fantasy games the plot would revolve around saving the universe from some unspeakable evil. However, in It Takes Two, it revolves around saving a dying relationship between a husband and wife. Under a spell unknowingly committed by their daughter Rose, Cody and May must undergo trials as living dolls to break the spell and perhaps save their marriage.

You never see plots like this more often in games nowadays and it is a breath of fresh air. So, let's begin with controls.

The controls are decent. I wont say perfect. But they are responsive to a fault. I would say your greatest enemy would be the camera during high speed scenarios like slide events. Everything else works good.

The music in this game is ear-candy. From the lush strings during emotional scenes to the eerie themes in darker stages such as the time castle, the music in this game never fails to impress me. If you can buy a soundtrack of this game, I would highly recommend that you do so.

Its strongest element however, would be the amount of game modes you will go through throughout the campaign. I wouldn't want to spoil these game modes. They are definitely worth discovering on your first try. This game truly deserved the GOTY in 2021.

All in all, if you have a friend (preferably a loved one) and want to play games together, I highly recommend you give this game a go. It is definitely worth playing.
