This game was a joy to play. There’s things I liked and things I didn’t:

**Like:**

*   Core Gameplay feels fluid
*   Satisfying sense of impact
* Throwing enemies and Grapples distinguishes this game
* Colors and Setting are attractive
* Some boss fights and obstacles are super creative
*   Character progression feels substantial
* Lots of endgame replay value in form of unlockables
* Environments stand out for a metroidvania
*   Coop play capable
* Plenty of characters to play as

**Dislikes:**

* Limited music selections. You’ll hear the same song a lot.
* The dudes who throw red projectiles can hit you while you’re in a combo
* No combat or aerial recovery, so when you get hit, you just fall to your death unless you land on something.
* The game never tells you that you can use all four of your specials once in an aerial combo
* The games idea of challenge is literally just throwing waves of enemies at you at some point
* The bomb enemies still hitting you if you don’t kill them on time is a stupid idea

My average is 5 on a scale of 10. I give this game a 6.5, but it has potential to be way higher because of coop play with siblings, friends, or a spouse. As a multiplayer game where both people are invested, it’s like a 7.5. As a stand alone single player and sometimes coop play game, it’s still a great pick up

Great Coop Game for Gamers

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for the pc was amazing, the satisfaction of the combat was iconic, the comedy that comes within it is phenomenal and the 2d / open world mechanic was fantastic in this game.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition Review

First-rate Metroidvania action adventure, with a unique visual style and ascetic. Very flavorful, very polished. Lots of fun.

I Give it 7.30 Because The Game It's Cool But There Any Guides To the story ?!

I enjoyed this game, elements were fun, artwork is nice but generally I found the constant melee fighting to be too much. I know right, it’s in the name. I should have known to expect it, but I just felt that at times I wanted to look around, discover and search for things to move the story forward and there just kept being these super busy fights that you were locked into; it just became a bit of a chore at times. As ever, I like to get to the end of games like this, see the ending of the story, but I got to the end before collecting all the elements I needed so couldn’t see the full story. I might go back to it and put a bit more time in, but it’s not engaging me enough. The Metroidvania element is this game were not my cup of tea. I am playing Messenger at the moment and am absolutely loving the Metroidvania style second half of the game so I am not sure why I didn’t enjoy Guacamelee. Rated it as a 7, made well enough, play it if you have access to it, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it if you have similar tastes to me.
