While everyone is busy with the launch of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/cyberpunk-2077" title="Cybperunk 2077 on PS5">Cybperunk 2077</a> and its highly detailed world, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/no-gravity-games" title="No Gravity Games">No Gravity Games</a> is going back with their latest title for the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch" title="Switch Games">Nintendo Switch</a> — <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/tanuki-justice" title="Tanuki Justice on Switch">Tanuki Justice</a>. It’s a retro-style <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/platformer" title="Platformer Switch Games">platformer</a> that gives off some serious Mega Man vibes, but instead of taking out robots and reploids, you’re a ninja tanuki in a feudal Japan populated by animals.

<div class="direct-quote">Tanuki Justice is a continuous intensive <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/action" title="Action Switch Games">action</a> run’n gun in which you incarnate a tanuki brother and sister. You’ll face hundreds of enemies in feudal Japan. Varied environments with landscapes of all kinds, retro and fast <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/rhythm" title="Rhythm Switch Games">rhythmic music</a>, numerous and difficult situations reminiscent of good old <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/arcade" title="Arcade Switch Games">arcade</a> games. Gameplay both simple and rich allowing spectacular actions. Possibility to play with 2 people for even more fun. And challenges that will challenge even the most skilled players. Time will be your worst enemy. </div>

The game has gotten some great reviews so far, and this one is sure to be a treat for anyone who love those punishing retro platformers. Like I said, there’s a lot of classic Mega Man influence in the visual style of the game, but it has its own look for stages and animal bosses.

Tanuki Justice is actually available on a 20% discount now, but if you already own other No Gravity Games’ titles, you’re looking at a 40% mark down. So hurry and check it out <a href="https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/tanuki-justice-switch/">here</a> today.

Almost two years after the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/redeemer/">initial release of Redeemer</a>, an Enhanced Edition of this intense top-down brawler will be launched this July 19 on the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/redeemer-enhanced-edition/">Nintendo Switch</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/redeemer-enhanced-edition/">PlayStation 4</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/redeemer-enhanced-edition/">Xbox One</a>, and the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/redeemer-enhanced-edition/">PC</a>. It will be avaible on both physical and digital media.

The game was originally scheduled to release on the 12th. The week-long delay is likely to gain more time for quality assurance and polishing. A recent <a href="https://twitter.com/buka_ent/status/1145980467604271104">tweet</a> from publisher Buka Entertainment mentions that it’s in the final stages of testing.

In Redeemer, you play as Vasily, a monk with a dark past tied to the biggest Cybernetic Weapon Manufacturer in the world. For twenty years, you’ve been trying to find peace in a secluded monastery but the corporation is closing in on you. Your road to redemption will be paved with blood.

The original Redeemer for the PC was met with a lukewarm reception from both critics and gamers, receiving a playscore of 7.14. The game was praised for its enjoyable combat system but was criticized for its dated mechanics and the lack of a rewarding progression.

The Enhanced Edition comes with an updated leveling and perk systems that promise to improve the overall experience. While not mentioned in the announcement, we can expect that this upcoming release will come with improvements on other aspects of the game (graphics, combat, etc.).

This top-down brawler/shooter mashup is coming soon to the Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and on the PC as a free upgrade.
