- Bloodline Champions is similar to the idea behind Unreal Tournament: a game that thrives on player competition without levels or endless character attribute tweaking bogging it down. Stunlock's game largely succeeds, and though it's not the prettiest piece of software on the planet, it's definitely one of the most entertaining. The player community isn't as populated as it probably should be, but finding matches is usually no problem, especially if you play in the evenings.

It's intelligently designed, skilful and quick to play, and intentionally egalitarian. Anyone can join this game, even on the free version, and excel. It is a pity the free version is so limited, but if you like it, the Champion edition isn't expensive. Compared to that frog suit, anyway.

It’s good to see something come out of the promise that was shown in Age of Conan.

Sin embargo, y sobre todo a nivel técnico, no parece que nos encontremos ante un producto perfectamente depurado, lo que puede dar lugar a más de un descontento. Al final será el tiempo y los usuarios los que pongan a Bloodline Champions en su lugar, y todo dependerá del seguimiento que tenga por parte de la comunidad de seguidores de juegos basados en DotA.

Kein Spielmodus, den das Spiel nicht unbedingt braucht, keine überflüssigen Elemente in der Spielmechanik und einzigartige, aber gut ausbalancierte Helden. Bloodline Champions möchte nichts sein, was es nicht ist. Und in dem, was es sein will, ist es exzellent. Bei Online-Rollenspielen konnte ich mich selten zu ausgiebigem PvP motivieren, Bloodline Champions dagegen zieht mich in einen richtigen Strudel.

E ci riesce, anche se solo in parte: la vocazione action del titolo di Stunlock Studios permette tanto ai novizi quanto agli esperti di misurarsi avendo a disposizione i medesimi strumenti. Dunque, a patto di dedicare un po' di tempo a familiarizzare con i controlli e con le meccaniche, si riesce a diventare competitivi in tempi ragionevoli e l'obiettivo di sconfiggere un team di esperti non risulta così irraggiungibile.
