- Overall, Warlander just doesn’t do enough to make it feel special or justify its predatory monetization scheme. The first few matches are fun, but once you run into enemies who are objectively more powerful again and again, the fun begins to fade and there isn’t enough variety to keep things fresh.
Nick Shively · Feb 07, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - All in all, I’m not impressed with Warlander. Sure, it has some interesting ideas to it, but the gameplay either isn’t that great or is absolutely not for me. Even with my lack agility and dexterity, I had a much better time eating dirt in Chivalry 2, and it was a more visually impressive, aurally pleasing experience.
Martynas Klimas · Jan 25, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Being free-to-play, you don’t necessarily have to take our word for it. Warlander is best in its first few games, so give this overblown MOBA a go, experience its best moments and make your choice. Just be prepared for shallowness to bite after the first few hours.
Dave Ozzy · Aug 12, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Overall, Warlander is a good free-to-play game to kill some time with friends or simply rumble with the masses in public lobbies. Let’s just hope the latter doesn’t become redundant.
Bennett Perry · Feb 01, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The lack of depth makes Warlander a solid but ultimately forgettable experience, and if Toylogic wants this game to be a success in the months and potentially years to come, it's going to need a significant amount of changes, including improvements to its classes to not have one stand clearly above the others, and an overhaul of the melee combat to make it a bit less bland.
