  • Trials Fusion may just be more Trials – a new level pack, so to speak. However, it is a really robust package with a lot of content. It’s full of secrets and varied modes – basically there is just a lot of quality content. There’s multiplayer options, basic customisation, a robust editor (that works OK with a controller but isn’t hugely intuitive) and just a large amount of great Trials stages. It is compulsively replayable and incredibly enjoyable. I don’t know how much longer Red Lynx can get away with putting out just Trials again, but this time it works and they are still very good at it.

Trials Fusion is a fun game. It will take some patience to complete most of the tracks, but with some determination and a good amount of time, it can be done. When I want to get some more variety, I can always go into the online database and play other player’s tracks that range from stupid easy to insanely difficult, as well as create my own tracks for my friends to play.

  • The whole game just feels like it’s incomplete. The sci-fi setting is not fully fleshed out. The story is a nice touch by falls flat. The tracks can be innovative but become generic. The mini-games are interesting but shallow. Everything in Trials Fusion is just an inch away from being awesome but, much like a botched motorcycle jump, ends up falling into a pit instead… a pit called mediocrity. Trials Fusion is fun enough, if only because it gives you a chance to return to the Trials gameplay you know and love, but it’s easily the weakest of all three Trials titles.

  • Trials Fusion is one of the best games on the PlayStation 4, there’s no doubt about that. Convince your friends to get it, and established relationships will turn sour faster than an Evel Knievel-esque stunt. Challenging, funny, and exciting – gaming rarely gets any better than this.

  • Trials Fusion takes a few steps back in it's track design and variety, but the same great physics-based platforming is intact and tighter than ever, lessening the blow of the potential disappointments. First timers looking to get initiated should find this to be the most accessible Trials yet, while veterans will stay plenty busy chasing the newly added challenges tacked onto each course, even if they are utterly vague at times.

  • The game looks and moves better than anything I’ve seen to date in its genre making it a no brainer as a downloadable title. Trials Fusion takes the series into the realm of being a full game and not a small arcade title anymore as it has some serious chops to run with the big boys, especially with a $20 price point (digital version). Do yourself a favor take a break from TitanFall and hit up the virtual tracks with the virtual ‘bikes’ of Trials Fusion.

  • Trials Fusion is a good game. Great, even. It’s taken what we’ve all come to know and enjoy, and added in quite a few new longevity ingredients to the mix. Create mode will occupy you potentially forever, and besting your friends on the leaderboards is proving to be a new addiction. Superficial unlocks and strange network issues aside, I’d definitely pick this game up if I were you. But why would I wanna be you? I’m me, and I already have the game. Excuse me while I ride.

  • t's a bona fide platform. While this is all good, it's not the best part of Trials Fusion. The best part, like in a touching sports movie, was in it all along. It's in the tumbles and spills. The acute motion rather than the massive gesture. That's Trials Fusion.

  • Trials Fusion is a good game -- and I can only see it getting better over time as user-made levels excel and DLC is released -- but what's there now, at launch, is a step down from Trials Evolution. It's disheartening, then, to see the game come in at a higher price point than its predecessor and also try to sell users on a $19.99 Season Pass in-game right out of the gate.

it’s clear that despite the occasional wobble, Trials’ inimitable magic remains absolutely intact.
