  The story didn’t even always do that well, and I’m still not sure why some things happened or were necessary. Torchlight: Infinite’s story was never offensively bad, but it did nothing to get me invested.

  The fun of an action RPG comes from building a character, and Infinite’s just a hot mess in that regard. New equipment does have a variety of stat boosts that help you fine-tune your play-style, so looting can give you a bit of a rush, but everything else is just a mess.

  Considering Torchlight Infinite is a free-to-play title, the hours of fun I got — with both free-to-play and paid characters — is a good sign. If you’re interested, check it out; at best, you get a great title to love at no additional fee.

  Torchlight: Infinite is a 3D online RPG about a group of warriors using corruption energy to fight corruption and restore the light. It offers a lot of variety in gameplay, assets, and activities, so it can keep you entertained for quite some time. The main issue is that if you're planning to play for a long time, get used to seeing the same abilities a lot as you try to maintain a strong and stable connection.

  Torchlight Infinite raggiunge la sufficienza in virtù delle buone idee che caratterizzano il combat system e le classi. Però non si spinge oltre, a causa di un design di scenari e nemici parecchio anonimo e di menu troppo confusionari. Ci troviamo quindi di fronte a un prodotto sì godibile ma che, purtroppo, non riesce a tenere testa a Diablo Immortal e ad altri esponenti del genere.

  Torchlight: Infinite è l'ennesimo esempio di conversione per mobile finita male. Il gioco perde qualsiasi tipo di personalità che la serie poteva vantare, offrendo un gameplay semplicistico e ripetitivo che vi porterà alla noia dopo le prime ore di gioco. Vista anche la mole di concorrenti presenti sugli storie mobile e PC, è davvero difficile immaginare che possa conquistare il cuore dei giocatori come sperava.

  Si nota una certa mancanza di equilibrio in Torchlight: Infinite, in quanto presenta contemporaneamente un sistema di combattimento veloce e intuitivo e una gestione dei personaggi fin troppo complessa, quasi a voler cercare di bilanciare i due elementi in maniera decisa, ma finendo per estremizzarne le caratteristiche. In questo modo, il rischio è di scontentare sia i grandi appassionati dell'action RPG di questo tipo che i giocatori più casual, con tutti e due i gruppi che concorderanno, in ogni caso, sulla presenza ingombrante delle micro-transazioni.
