  • The Wolf Among Us: Episode 4 - A Sheep’s Clothing may feel a little flat due to a lack of compelling content, but we’ll have to wait a couple of months to find out if the groundwork laid here pays off. Honestly, we have every faith that this is just the calm before the storm, and it’s Season One’s finale where Bigby’s decisions will truly come home to roost.

  • "In Sheep's Clothing" is a tightly defined roller coaster ride toward the finale, but along that ride, meaningful choices define Bigby Wolf and craft interactive storytelling at its finest.

  • The story is moved forward, and the quick time events and character development make you wish you could play the concluding episode right now. So, in essence, this episode does its job quite well, I just wish it had more internal resolution. Buy it. Play it. Join me in waiting anxiously for episode five, lit cigarette in hand.

  • By the end of the episode, the pieces came together and I found myself confronted by the Crooked Man and nearly every bad Fable I hadn't yet killed. I probably should have been nervous, confronted by those odds, but all I could muster was relief that they hadn't gotten me when I was still playing nice.

  • In Sheep's Clothing is as tremendous a climax as we've seen in any previous noir, and Telltale has done a phenomenal job crafting an edge-of-your-seat thriller in the Fables canon. There's only one episode left, and while we're sad the tale is almost over, the journey to the conclusion has been outstanding.

Even the cliffhanger ending feels a bit muted when compared to the epic final moments of episode one and three. Still, it’s a necessary stepping stone to finally reach the summit that we’ve all been waiting for, and with the conclusion looming just over the horizon I can’t wait to see how it all ends for the denizens of FableTown.

  • In the end, “In Sheep’s Clothing” is definitely an improvement over the previous episode in many respects, with the improvement of player impact in dialogue, but still falls short of having a more involved gameplay. The story has more questions than ever, so the hype for the final episode should already be building quickly.

  • I loved The Wolf Among Us: Episode 4:. It wasn’t as active as other episodes, but I feel like I finally have a grasp on what is going on.

  • Don't stare too long, though: the dialogue timer is running down. A few jagged edges might leave some scratches, but The Wolf Among Us only breaks skin when it wants to. So far, it's been light cuts: pleas for help I have to deny, friends I have to disappoint, characters I never got to know better. We're still waiting for the big consequences of many of our decisions, and now the knife is in place. I hope Telltale plans to strike hard.

  • It ties the ongoing story threads in such a way that they become more significant, making us eager to see how it all wraps up

    About the game

Has the Wolf met his match? Beaten and bloody, Bigby is confronted by the realization that a society built on secrets is ripe for exploitation. And that the disenfranchised of Fabletown may see his prey not as the cause of their problems, but as their solution. Constantly caught between 'the rules' and doing the right thing, Bigby must tread a path fraught with danger in this penultimate episode of The Wolf Among Us.
