- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered takes an already great RPG and refines it. It's a perfect excuse to head on another adventure.
Shaun Musgrave · Oct 11, 2026 Reviewed onRead full review - Our expert review of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2, written by George Yang.
· Oct 05, 2026 Reviewed onRead full review - The Witcher 3 is commonly cited as one of the best video games ever made. While I would never have called it “perfect,” it was always close. This final release brings it even closer.
Colin Buchanan · Dec 12, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The combat, something that most Witcher 3 fans will concede isn’t a highlight of the game, also suffers from the quality of its peers. It’s inelegant and can feel unbalanced at times. At its base, it’s practically an Assassin’s Creed 2-style dance while you wait for your opponent to attack. This is fun against sword-wielders, but we’ve never found it hugely engaging during monster battles.
Jordan Middler · Dec 12, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The Witcher 3 has problems. It’s not the perfect game, nor is it the perfect RPG, despite what hyperbole and a number of overly excited launch reviews might have you believe. Despite all of my complaining, though, it’s a very, very good game, and one you really should play if you’ve any interest at all in morally grey RPGs with an action twist.
Tim McDonald · Nov 04, 2015 Reviewed on PCRead full review - While the story is solid in and of itself it, doesn’t mesh very well with the open questing system. This in no way disparages the quality of the story, only the sporadic way it is experienced when playing the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an engaging adventure into a realm fractured by war and cultural disparity that shines a light on the dark corners of the human psyche – and after hours of play, it leaves you sweating and aching for more. A must play for any modern gamer.
Samuel · Jul 02, 2015 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The result is still a game that often feels like a stunningly confident, competent shot across the bow of the open world genre, folding in an incredibly strong narrative and a good sense of consequence to the decisions that present themselves throughout, presenting a fun bit of combat creativity into a genre that desperately needs it. With that going for it, The Witcher 3 is a great game though it isn't a classic — and it can carry a somewhat qualified recommendation.
Arthur Gies · Jun 22, 2015 Reviewed on PC, PS4, XB1Read full review - Even without the promise of future content that's already been revealed through the game's $24.99 Season Pass, the game is large enough to support hundreds of hours of play. It's easily one of the most fully featured RPGs sitting right next to Dragon Age: Inquisition. In a world with post launch DLC that promises to enhance the core experience, Witcher 3 can get by completely without it. Kudos CDPR.
Mike Splechta · Jun 08, 2015 Reviewed on PC, PS4, XB1Read full review - Simply put, the third chapter in the Witcher saga is a modern masterpiece. While technical hiccups sometimes work to mar the game’s brilliant veneer, the tightly woven narrative and unparalleled living, breathing world combine to create an unforgettable experience.
Francis DiPersio · Jun 02, 2015 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - This is particularly noticeable as the game reaches its climax. It’s not that the endgame is necessarily bad, and it does set up some tantalizing elements for the series going forward, but the Witcher universe is truly at its best when it’s focusing on the personal and the relatable, not dealing in bombast and battles with spectral, skull-faced riders. ...Still, this isn’t a game that should be constricted in any way by an arbitrary deadline.
