- A few technical and dialogue hiccups annoy, but overall TWD continues to be one of the best stories in gaming.
Evan Lahti · Jul 30, 2012 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The controls could do with a bit of work and I still think that vastly increased challenge either through puzzles or conflict would more appropriately match the tone of the game, but all of these are things I thought after I was done with it. None of them got in the way of the experience. With that said, I'm going to hunt down some whisky.
Fraser Brown · Jul 14, 2012 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Episode 2 was so engaging that I completed it in a single sitting and I was left wanting more. I always figure that a game of this nature should leave you like this. Even with a few short comings every now and then, Episode 2: Starved for Help manages to maintain the same qualities that made the first episode so brilliant as well as drive the story onward into other areas of not only survival; but human nature as well.
Frank Naresh · Jul 13, 2012 Reviewed on X360Read full review - The Walking Dead is a well-crafted tale that will surprise you with its masterful storytelling. You want decisions that make a difference in a genuine way? Look no further.
Susan Arendt · Jul 06, 2012 Reviewed on X360Read full review - The Walking Dead: The Game -- Episode 2: Starved for Help wasn't what I was expecting. Rather than focus on more walkers and more headshots, the game turns everything around and made me focus on the possible threat of other survivors. It made me focus on who Lee would actually be in this world -- the guy with morals or the guy doing what it takes to get by. I dug that; it's definitely a different experience than the first episode (including its additional technical issues), but that's what I want out of episodic content.
GREG MILLER · Jul 06, 2012 Reviewed on PC, PS3, X360Read full review - This is incredibly ambitious game design, and it's fulfilling a promise of games as interactive storytelling in a way that so many others seem content to phone in or ignore all together. To have a game that not only focuses on story but tells one compelling enough to keep thinking about once the console is off? That's something no one should miss.
Justin McElroy · Jul 05, 2012 Reviewed on X360Read full review - The Walking Dead: Episode 2 is flat-out amazing. It's better than Episode 1 in every way. It's better written and more fun to play than other similar cinematic games like Heavy Rain. It's an artistic masterpiece, a pinnacle of cinematic gameplay. If you are a Walking Dead fan, or just a fan of cinematic games in general, then you owe it to yourself to play this episode.
Angelo M. D'Argenio · Jul 03, 2012 Reviewed on PC, PS3, X360Read full review - Telltale Games has a gem on its hands. If the remaining three episodes of this series are anything like the first two, The Walking Dead may very well go down in history as the greatest adventure game of this generation. Starved For Help improves upon the storytelling of its predecessor and treads into darker, much more mature territory. With an engrossing narrative that molds to your decisions, populated by a cast of compelling and relatable characters that you can’t help but care about, this is one zombie apocalypse you won’t want to miss.
Alex Osborn · Jun 30, 2012 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - Starved for Help is a great second episode in Telltale's Walking Dead franchise. The story borrows much from the graphic novels and is predictable even if you haven't read them, and the performance issues cause some grief, but this is an excellent adventure that needs to be played by every horror fan. It grosses you out at the same time that it makes you think about the fragile nature of society--and what would happen if everything suddenly broke down and left us scrounging to keep our stomachs full.
Brett Todd · Jun 28, 2012 Reviewed onRead full review - An intense and thrilling story, fabulously written characters and script, and a key understanding of the original fiction are all let down by some appalling technical flaws.
