The Posthumous Investigation left a pretty good impression, although it's not a game that tries to impress with its scale. It's more about atmosphere and gradual immersion in the story. The game feels like something between a detective and a psychological story, where you're not just looking for clues, but trying to understand what actually happened.I liked how the interaction with the environment is implemented. You're constantly looking at something, reading notes, comparing details, and it doesn't look like a stupid collection of items for the sake of a checkmark. There's a feeling that every little thing makes sense. The pace of the game is also well done - it's not rushed, but it doesn't let you get bored either. The presentation of the plot is worth noting separately. There is no direct explanation of everything, you have to figure out a lot of things yourself, and this makes the passage more personal. The music and sounds work on the atmosphere, sometimes even more than the picture itself. On the downside, there could be a bit more variety in the mechanics, as you'll find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. But if you like calm, slightly dark stories with an emphasis on investigation, the game is definitely worth a look.

The Posthumous Investigation my impression

Travel to a noir Rio de Janeiro in 1937 and investigate the mystery behind the murder of Bras Cubas, the famed character created by Machado de Assis. Until the truth is out, you'll be trapped in a time loop, amidst a plot full of conspiracy and treason.
