  • Teslagrad is a port of a beautiful platformer adventure game where we explore a large open world and solve puzzles in an attempt to escape the autocratic regime that is after us.

  • This game will be a true treat to all people who appreciate a good challenge and for those who are satisfied with overcoming the obstacles. For them, this game will be highly rewarding and ultimately fantastic. On the other hand, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear it was too hard for some people to see it through the end.

  • Overall, Teslagrad is a unique platforming experience with a great magnetic concept that adds a new twist to the genre. If you haven’t played Teslagrad in one of its previous incarnations, this is a game worth checking out. It’s an atmospheric title, simple in its storytelling, but brain-teasing enough to keep you coming back for more.

  • I ended up playing the final hour of the game at 2am because it was too exciting to leave for the morning. It was a perfect ending to a fabulous game. If you’re new to the indie scene and looking to get your feet wet this is the perfect game to get you started.

  • From the moment Teslagrad begins you are instantly filled with the feeling that you are about to play something pretty special. The world around you is truly beautiful and the platforming puzzles are great fun to ponder over. A few difficulty spikes – particularly in the game’s boss fights – distracted us slightly from the game’s hypnotising ways but we had a wonderful time nonetheless.

  • Exploring the mysterious Telsa Tower and its non-linear surroundings was an adventure, but the game's method of visual storytelling just wasn't my cup of tea. However, if you like no disruptions like loading screens, cutscenes, or dialogue then Telsagrad might just be for you. I want to interact with other characters and become immersed in a marvelous story, and Telsagrad just wasn't doing that for me.

  • Indie titles are always a joy to play because they take certain creative risks that AAA’s typically wouldn’t. Teslagrad is one of those gems that I never would have picked up on my own but I’m immensely glad I had a chance to play. This is a near perfect platformer that deserves much praise for the artistic visual medium it presents. Gameplay flows like water and the pacing keeps you wanting more, if this is the first title released from Rain Games I will definitely be keeping an eye out for further titles from this developer.

  • If you’re entirely new to this experience, I absolutely recommend Teslagrad as a great puzzle platformer. It arrived a bit before the genre became way too crowded, though the two years that have passed since then certainly haven’t helped. What we have here is a well made 2D effort, and explorers who aren’t tired of the genre will enjoy this one for its silent storytelling and magnetic puzzle mechanics.

  • With stunning presentation, and a clever core mechanic, Teslagrad does a lot to impress. Unfortunately, its occasionally unwieldy controls, inconsistent difficulty, and needlessly challenging boss fights mar the experience. However, if you can look past these infidelities, you’ll find an incredibly unique and often satisfying puzzle platformer.

  • Teslagrad combines puzzles and platforming in a way that feels both familiar and new. The Wii U version is the first out of the gate on consoles, and thanks to off-TV play, will likely be the definitive version of it outside of the PC. The mix of gameplay elements is balanced, and the use of so much platforming compared to most puzzle-platformers makes it a fine choice as a gateway game for the genre.
