  • Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a game that’s easy to recommend, but with the caveat that you don’t go into it expecting to spend very much time playing it. The eye-catching visuals, generous humour, and excellent level design stand as a testament to the raw talent present at DrinkBox, but the short runtime leaves the experience feeling rather half-finished in some ways. Even so, it stands as a lesson in the value of understanding and executing a concept well.

  • Playing through a second time reminded me just how f’ing awesome it is. I was never overly challenged with any one part of the game but collecting and a medal system for each level adds replay-ability. The touch controls from the Vita version make a pretty seamless transition to the PS3 controller via the shoulder buttons. If the PS3 or 360 is your platform of choice and you’ve yet to play this game, don’t wait any longer.

Once again, I am impressed by another Vita title that finally makes its way to a console. For around $8, players will get not only the PS3 version, but also the Vita version, the full soundtrack and other goodies. It’s a well done package, and on top of that a fun and charming little game.

  • Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack was and still is an enjoyable platformer, regardless of the device on which you play it, but it's difficult to recommend this new release to anyone who already has access to the superior Vita rendition. The attractive aesthetic and the light puzzle elements that made the original release worthwhile have returned mostly unscathed, but the control limitations this time around hurt the experience, and that's a shame.

With its creative level designs and simple controls, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is the type of game where you can sit back and enjoy eating up everything on Earth without investing too much time, cash, or energy to do it.

  • It’s also quite short, hitting its stride within minutes of reaching its climactic conclusion and leaving the player with a slightly empty feeling. Mutant Blobs Attack is a clever and stylish game, and while its full potential is never entirely displayed, you’d be hard-pressed to find a game that makes mass destruction this adorable.

  • Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack isn't particularly unique in terms of core gameplay, making its mark instead by simply doing what it does so well. It feels a little too much like a mobile game to stand out as a must-have title, but if you want an example of PS Vita controls done correctly, you won't find a better example than this. It doesn't hurt that you'll get some challenging -- if sometimes frustrating -- physics-based puzzles to boot.

  • Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!!! is a great showcase for what digital games can do on the Vita. It’s well-executed, it’s got an appealing look and a sharp sense of humor, and the pacing works well for handheld play. When you’re browsing through the PlayStation Store on your Vita checking around for something new to play, make sure you don’t pass this one up. It’s well-worth your time, and more than worth your money.

  • When all is said and done, this is an appropriately priced, raccous romp of a platformer. There are hidden goodies throughout each level and more than enough replayability. I guarantee you'll miss most of the jokes the first time through.

  • Mutant Blobs Attack is one of those games that absolutely hooks you from the moment you begin playing it and doesn't let go until the credits roll. The sheer level of charm, personality and playability found throughout the game is staggering and will easily keep you coming back for more. As amazing as the original PlayStation 3 PSN release was, Mutant Blobs Attack basically improves upon just about every facet of that game and produces an extremely enjoyable Vita gaming experience. With its extremely affordable price tag, you're getting a lot of blob for your buck.
