- Superliminal is a port of a first-person puzzle adventure game played inside a peculiar dream world where we can alter physical objects at will, and space itself bends based on how we perceive it.
Alex Sem · Nov 16, 2024 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Superliminal is fun but ends up feeling repetitive due to the lack of variety in puzzles the music matches the game’s setting perfectly also the narrative of Superliminal is very boring I had no interest in the Story itself while playing Superliminal.
Ankit Gaba · Sep 20, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Overall Superliminal is a great puzzle experience, and you feel throughout it that the developers had fun putting it together. This is a dream therapy that actually works, being funny and creative at the same time.
Cosmin Vasile · Apr 12, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - That being said, Superliminal is still a really solid puzzle game. Its innovative main mechanic is worth the price of admission alone, with Pillow Castle taking the time to evolve and experiment with the feature so no two levels are ever exactly the same. What it lacks in challenge, story, and length it makes up for with its commitment to its perspective-based premise, carving a genuinely fun puzzler that's sure to leave aficionados of the genre satisfied.
Callum Williams · Nov 25, 2020 Reviewed on PCRead full review - All in all, I had fun with Superliminal. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and moderately challenging (but not too difficult) puzzle game. As long as you aren’t looking for cutting edge graphics or a strong narrative, I think there is a lot of fun to be had here. You will have to deal with some literally dream nonsense logic, though. But isn’t that half the fun?
James Robinson · Aug 19, 2020 Reviewed on Switch - Thanks to Superliminal's outlandish gameplay, constant ability to reinvent itself, and thought-provoking final message, a different perspective will ultimately reveal it to be far outside any such neatly labelled box.
Laura Cress · Aug 13, 2020 Reviewed on PS4, XB1, SwitchRead full review - Although it’s a short experience overall, Superliminal is a real treat if you’re into environmental puzzle games. The game constantly challenges you to think outside the box and look at things from a different perspective -both literally and figuratively. We do recommend waiting until you can pick this one up at a lower price point, but if you can get it for €10 or lower, it’s a must-buy.
SebastiaanRaats · Aug 01, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - The PlayStation 4 (and other consoles) release of the game adds in new extras to help pad out content. This includes hidden rooms containing star constellations, collectible chess pieces, and interacting with every fire alarm and fire extinguisher inside Somna Sculpt. With only limited replayability, there isn’t a lot packed into the game.
Fragnarok · Jul 29, 2020 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - There are some surprisingly tense moments throughout the short runtime. This story element somewhat takes over as you get towards the end, and while it's a shame the puzzles lose steam, it all culminates in a surprisingly profound message. It might not push its core concept to the absolute fullest, but the overall experience is a charming and enjoyable one.
Stephen Tailby · Jul 23, 2020 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - It’s a short game, taking about two to three hours to complete depending on how long it takes you to figure some puzzles out, but it’s well worth your time. I would also recommend playing it all in one sitting as that will make the whole experience more impactful. If you enjoy puzzle games in the vein of Portal and The Talos Principle, then you shouldn’t let Superliminal pass you by.
