I spent more than 30 hours dispatching fascists with the Enigma Squad, still have two levels to go, will absolutely finish them and someday return for another run. Stealth strategy, when done right, is just that good, and Sumerian Six is absolutely done right. Bravo, Artificer. Sequel please.

Il titolo di Artificer riesce a catturare l'essenza dei pionieri del genere, con le abilità uniche dei personaggi e la varietà delle missioni che contribuiscono ad arricchire un gameplay avvincente, ma non privo di qualche spigolo. Se dal punto di vista visivo Sumerian Six si comporta bene, complice uno stile grafico distintivo, la trama e la caratterizzazione dei personaggi avrebbero beneficiato di un maggiore approfondimento. Nel complesso, parliamo di un’avventura strategica stimolante e in grado di regalare sorprese.

Though its story isn’t all there and it’s far from original, it’s made up for with an electric cast with devastating and creative abilities. This sandbox nature of killing in inventive ways is only bolstered by intricate and smart level design that allows for many a cool Nazi-slaying moment. Artificer have pulled off the difficult mission of replicating the giants that came before them while showcasing enough of their own creative juices. Job well done.

There is a balance of challenge here, and one that’s matched by the elation of moving forward, unlocking new skills, perfecting your timing, and finally defeating those magical Nazis. It may tread familiar ground, but Sumerian Six explores fresh territory with every twist, for a game that is moreish and clever at every turn.

The aesthetic on offer, combined with the fun and fanciful tale of the Engima Squad meeting up and working together to take down a magical Nazi warlord, is plenty to grab you and hold tight. Just keep a pocketful of patience for any silly shit that happens while you’re save scumming your way to victory.

Artificer have taken the torch from Mimimi Games and are running with it, and I’m so glad they are.
Toby Andersen · Sep 02, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Da quando siamo orfani di Mimimi Games, non possiamo fare troppo gli schizzinosi sui tattici in tempo reale, e questo Sumerian Six se la cava più che bene, pur scivolando su qualche buccia di banana, come una telecamera insopportabilmente bloccata e alcuni poteri poco bilanciati che appiattiscono alcune missioni. Sono sbavature in un gioco altrimenti molto solido con personaggi e abilità da usare in maniera libera in mappe molto ispirate che rendono benissimo l’idea di mettere in atto piani azzardati dove le probabilità di successo non sono per niente dalla nostra parte.

With Sumerian Six, they once again deliver a challenging, unique and interesting game. We are once again presented with crazy characters with a story that combines history with folk tales. In the beginning, frustrations will fly around, because Sumerian Six is not easy. You really have to get the hang of the basics and adjust the key bindings. Then you can combine the characters' skills to deploy different strategies. Since it is real-time strategy, you will have to do this quickly, but there is also a planning function. This could use some tweaking, but otherwise there is little to criticize about the game. The well-constructed levels are detailed and through the optional goals and challenges you determine the challenge they offer.
