    SULFUR is geheel eigenaardig, doet best bizarre dingen, maar de belangrijkste conclusie: voor een grotendeel werkt het. Het is een aangrijpende boomer shooter, waarbij accuraat schietwerk, spanning en strategie toch echt centrale onderdelen vormen van je alledaagse routines. SULFUR kent een charmante stijl en is dan ook audiovisueel in orde. De combat-loop kan soms wat eendimensionaal aanvoelen, maar de gunplay, gear en roguelite-elementen maken veel goed. De debuutgame van Perfect Random draagt zo nu en dan zijn eigen kruis. Ja, al je progressie verliezen is een duivels dilemma, maar het zorgt er daarentegen ook weer voor dat je elke keer de shooter opstart met spanning in je lijf. Mocht je de zondes van SULFUR kunnen vergeven, dan kun je jezelf verliezen in een first-person shooter met ambitie.
