- Creative set-pieces and an awesome concept can only hide a repetitious game structure for so long - and the stealth sections that mix it up are just frustrating. The combat is appropriately entertaining and Spidey-like, but it feels more shallow than it should have, especially with endlessly repeated one-liners going off like fireworks. Fans of Spider-Man might still have a good time, and there are moments of brilliance, but it's otherwise unmemorable.
John Funk · Sep 23, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - Despite some occasional frustrations, Beenox has done well with Shattered Dimensions. This isn't to Spider-Man what Arkham Asylum was to the Caped Crusader, but nonetheless it perseveres as a consistent, rugged and undeniably enjoyable romp through some bright colours, excellent set pieces and laugh out loud lines.
Martin Gaston · Sep 14, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - Spider-Man: Shattered Dimension lacks the variety to sustain its 10-or-so hours of length, and the imagination to truly make good on its multiple-worlds concept. The experience is serviceable enough, but it won't inspire you the way that the best superhero games can. All but the most compulsive and devoted Spider-Man fans can experience the best it has to offer during the span of a rental.
Game Trailers · Sep 13, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360 - Yes, you could level similar complaints at most Spider-Man games, but I'm typically too busy swinging through the city and channeling my inner-five-year-old to notice. When Beenox grounded the series, it invited comparison to every other action game on the market, and that's a battle Spider-Man still can't emerge from victorious ... no matter how many of him there may be.
Justin McElroy · Sep 13, 2010 Reviewed on X360 - Overall, this is hands-down one of the best Spider-Man games ever released. The authentic look and feel delivers exactly what comic book and Spider-Man fans are looking for. The different dimensions require different tactics which keeps players on their toes. Those looking for an open-world affair should look elsewhere, considering the game is level-based and a tad linear, but for those looking for one of the best Spider-Man games should pick this one up without a doubt.
Joseph Peterson · Sep 13, 2010 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - Shattered Dimensions has its charms: quality writing and voice-acting, inventive set pieces, and, yup, four different Spider-Men
Chuck Osborn · Sep 11, 2010 Reviewed on X360 - Spider-Man fans are going to love Shattered Dimensions, if only to get their hands on four familiar web crawlers. There’s so much amazing fan service here, that enthusiasts simply shouldn’t miss it. Despite its extremely obvious and repetitive nature, it’s also a decent amount of fun, provided you play it in small doses. Maybe you’ll forget that the last mission was nearly identical if you wait a few days. It’s just a shame that, despite Shattered Dimensions seemingly being the perfect set up for variety, it falls short on its promise.
Nick Chester · Sep 10, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - The lively visuals and diverse gameplay help keep Shattered Dimensions moving along at a good pace, and you'll likely finish just shy of the 10-hour mark, having enjoyed your journey. After all, it's a lot of fun to feel like a superhero, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions creates this feeling very well. Small frustrations aside, this is not only a great Spider-Man game, it's also an entertaining action game that anyone with a penchant for superpowers can enjoy.
Chris Watters · Sep 08, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - Shattered Dimensions is a fine game that’s a little too uneven and repetitive to be more than the sum of its parts. The mechanic owes much to Batman: Arkham Asylum’s sneaking system, but when compared to that game it seems a little lacking, especially when you meet some very sensitive and overly perceptive guards.
Henry Gilbert · Sep 07, 2010 Reviewed on PS3, X360Read full review - For those looking for a multiplayer experience, that’s the biggest letdown, as Shattered Dimensions doesn’t offer multiplayer support. If no multiplayer is a deal breaker, you’re going to miss out on what is the best Spider-Man game I’ve played. An all star voice acting cast, varied combat and stealth, a fun story, great graphics, and challenges built into an extensive skill tree system gives Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions a lot of replayability.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions blends together the many alternate universes of the world-famous webslinger with four unique takes on Spider-Man's history in comics. In the game, Spider-Man attempts to retrieve a piece of a tablet that's been scattered across multiple parallel dimensions, and in doing so he crosses over to storylines famous to comic book aficionados as variant tellings (including The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir & Ultimate Spider-Man) of the Spider-Man mythology.
