- While Shutshimi is obviously meant to be a party game, it’s very fun for the solo gamer as well. Once you start learning what items do what, you’ll be able to avoid the ones you dislike and grab the ones you dig. Shushimi is a nice surprise—I highly recommend it.
Zachary Miller · Feb 28, 2016 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - Ultimately, Shütshimi is a fun game that's both flashy and engaging. The breakneck pace of endless waves of enemies combined with a quirky and bizarre sense of humour make for a good time whether you're playing alone or with a couple of friends. While the gameplay isn't terribly deep and it gets repetitive in longer sessions, there's plenty here to keep gamers coming back for more. We'd recommend that you pick this game up, it's a great retro shooter with a neat twist.
Mitch Vogel · Feb 09, 2016 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - Shutshimi: Seriously Swole is a game that is worthy of your time if you enjoy shoot'em ups. It'll hold your attention till you beat it, but that's about it. This game, however, does not hold the power to convert a non shoot'em up fan to being a loyal disciple. It's a skip if you are one of these people.
Zach Price · Sep 09, 2015 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - Shutshimi fails somewhat to swim against the current of other procedural games, but its unique charms are hard to argue with and its gameplay is solid and enjoyable.
Alex Santa Maria · Sep 01, 2015 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The whole experience allows you to have fun and even get a little addicted due to frustration. Unlocking the Hard Mode proves this even more. It definitely seems more than appropriate to tip my hat to the folks at Neon Diety Games, as they did an amazing job with the game. While the ‘shoot-em-up’ genre isn’t new, Shutshimi has managed to take an age-old formula and make it its own. Not bad at all.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
Shütshimi is a randomized shoot'em up about a muscle-bound fish with memory problems defending the seven seas. Armed with your trusty bullet-morphing shotgun, defeat or navigate through waves of enemies and collect powerups as you battle your way through each of the game's bosses. But there's a catch (there's always a catch): you've been cursed with an incredibly short attention span. Combat waves and upgrade cycles only last 10 seconds a piece, so you'd better act fast!
