    When the procedurally-generated stars align, Shattered Pixel Dungeon feels like one of the smartest and most satisfying dungeon-crawlers you can find. When they don't, it can be demoralizing and frustrating. You can always start a new run whenever you like, but just know that it might take a dozen or more crawls before you get to dig into the deeper, more satisfying depths of the experience.

    Shattered Pixel Dungeon began as a Pixel Dungeon mod that ultimately diverged so much that it got released as a separate game. It stays true to the original tough roguelike dungeon crawler RPG experience, but heavily rebalances monsters, quests, and items, while adding an entirely new dungeon floor.

    Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a Roguelike RPG, with pixel art graphics and lots of variety and replayability. Every game is unique, with four different playable characters, randomized levels and enemies, and over 150 items to collect and use. The game is simple to get into, but has lots of depth. Strategy is required if you want to win!
