  Overall Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun and Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice are extremely well done ports of the 2016 and 2021 originals with plenty of content and smooth gameplay this is one game that has ported very well to the Nintendo Switch 2.

  Filled with very interesting characters and unique, addictive gameplay mechanics, if you love stealth-based games that give you a hard but never unfair challenge, I highly recommend you check out Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun on the Nintendo Switch 2

  While I still believe the game would be best controlled with a keyboard and mouse, I still wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone who appreciates smart, stealth gameplay. It's one of the best examples of the stealth genre with a ton of replayability.

  Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is a solid stealth experience with a lot of variety both in hero use and level design. It’s a beautiful game that should please any strategy buff, particularly those who enjoy the whole ninja/samurai aesthetic. Currently priced around twenty dollars less than the average AAA title, you will absolutely get your value out of finishing the main campaign.

  Despite its minor camera and screen tearing issues though, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is great for those looking for a challenge. Its mix of stealth, strategy and action is a highly enjoyable one, and with its wealth of missions and bonus objectives there’s plenty to go at.

  Even by Commandos own lofty standards, Shadow Tactics is a masterclass. It layers in just enough additional nuance to elevate it to the next level. The skills are more elaborate. The level design consistently excellent. The manner in which you’re often required to go back to the drawing board is genius. For fans of real-time tactics and stealth games, Shadow Tactics is very nearly without compare. It’s that same classic Commandos gameplay wrapped up in an exquisite new shell; still punishing yet not cruel.

  Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun evokes the stealth escapades of decades past, but it’s an exceptional addition to the genre in its own right. It’s tricky, complex without being too complicated. It's characterful and user-friendly enough that even the stealth-averse might find something to tempt them into the shadows.
