Security: The Horrible Nights
Is the promise of a "single pane of glass" in modern security management systems actually achievable in your experience, or does it just create a different kind of complexity? I’m looking at solutions that unify access control, video, and intrusion detection. My main worry is that these integrated platforms often master one function but are clunky with the others. For those of you running hybrid systems (cloud + on-prem), how reliable is the central dashboard? Does it ever feel like you are trading multiple simple interfaces for one complicated one? I need a system that an intern can learn in a day, not a dedicated IT specialist.
