- It is certainly impressive that Resident Evil Village exists on iOS, and it's perfectly enjoyable provided you have the right hardware for it (including a controller). That said, "enjoyable" is about as far as I'd go in describing my feelings for it. Village checks off all the boxes to make a compelling AAA single-player game, or at least the ones that passed muster over 10 years ago, and otherwise only has glimmers of inspiration.

Still, wonderful VR graphics, welcome comfort options, and great haptic feedback support make it a PSVR2 must-play.

I got an experience that moved from the stuff of nightmares to the stuff of dreams — weird, haunting, and maybe a little deeper than I originally gave it credit for. I got a Resident Evil game. And it might be one of the best so far.

This is what the original games stood for with their fairly simplistic puzzles, its uncomplicated combat, but its great atmosphere and engaging storyline with creepy ghoulish monsters lurking around every corner. The game feels extremely polished, and will also cater to casual and veteran gamers with its very adaptive difficulty settings.

It certainly is up there with the best of the series, but that heavily depends on your kind of RE game. If you enjoyed RE4 or RE7 then you’ll probably like this one. And if you enjoyed both of them as much as each other then this very well could be one of the best. It certainly is for me.

It has some minor issues, but nothing to interfere with the overall experience. There are tons of extras and plenty of replay value from new levels of difficulty, to new weapons, challenges to the new Mercenary mode.
