It will take you about 5 to 6 hours to finish, but you can easily lose time just taking in everything you see. The only niggle with the game is a lack of replayability. There is nothing extra to entice one to play again. However, the journey and spectacle of a single run is totally worth it. If you are looking for a premium VR experience that fills you with a sense of awe and wonder, Red Matter 2 is the ticket. Developer, Vertical Robot is one to keep an eye on.

With the best graphics on the PS VR2, incredible environmental puzzles and storytelling, and one of the most polished control schemes on the market, Vertical Robot again shows why it is among the very best VR developers.

It simply looks and runs phenomenal on the Quest 2, with mostly captivating puzzles and an interesting mystery to solve at its core. It's not perfect and still exhibits some bugs, and I probably could've done without the shooting sections, but that's a small price to pay when the rest come together as well as this.

There’s just enough variety to them and they’re often delightfully tactile, which sustains the six-hour story through its largely predictable twists and turns.

Si ya tuvimos una experiencia de calidad en Meta Quest 2, su traslado a PS VR2 es tan bueno que parece haber sido desarrollado para este dispositivo desde sus orígenes. Aprovecha cada uno de los elementos del visor y sus mandos a la altura de lo que haría un estudio first party. Su port lo convierte en un imprescindible de su catálogo, como siempre le ocurre al debutar en una nueva plataforma.

Vertical Robot han subido, con esta segunda parte, un listón que ya habían establecido ellos mismos con su anterior juego. Es un top gráfico que dinamita los supuestos límites de la consola standalone y que debería suponer una llamada de atención para los demás desarrolladores.

Neben einem stilvollen Retro-Design mit Unmengen plastischer Spiegelungen kommt mancherorts sogar Raytracing zum Einsatz! Hinter der hübschen Fassade steckt außerdem ein richtig gutes, rund acht Stunden langes Adventure. Die mysteriös inszenierte, professionell vertonte Geschichte (leider nicht auf deutsch) hat mich von Anfang an in eine andere Welt versetzt.

Anche la storia è avvincente e sempre ben recitata, con dialoghi e sottotitoli in inglese facilmente comprensibili e leggibili, nonostante la mancata localizzazione in italiano (con i sottotitoli in italiano forse in arrivo prossimamente).

After breaking free from the simulation that held your own mind hostage, your first priority is to escape the Atlantic Union’s base. However, you unexpectedly discover a distress signal belonging to an old friend. Determined to come to his rescue, you will travel to the farthest reaches of the solar system to find him. During your journey you will unveil Volgravia's darkest secrets and confront the unstoppable Red Matter. Red Matter 2 introduces new mechanics to expand the existing gameplay into the adventure genre. Not only will you face brand new and challenging puzzles, but thanks to a new jetpack you will be able to traverse the game’s environments more freely than ever before through platforming sections. A new tool has been added to the classic loadout that will enable you to hack terminals, as well as a weapon that will prove useful in various environmental puzzles and come well in handy when dealing with certain ‘surprises’ that you’re sure to face during your adventures.
