- Radiantflux: Hyperfractal is an odd package with a solid, but not great, arcade game locked inside. The main mode lacks tight controls and the variety of most twin stick shooters, but it’s fun regardless for a time and spouts some simple, but unique graphics.
Tristan Jurkovich · Dec 29, 2016 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - Ultimately, for those that enjoy the core shooter element, Radiantflux: Hyperfractal probably delivers value for money. However, it also feels incomplete - a mess of random things jumbled together. While the randomness itself provides some entertainment, it's hard to feel satisfied with the game when it's over. A little more development effort could have gone a long way here.
Thomas Wrobel · Jul 10, 2017 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - If more time and resources were invested in this part of the game, perhaps we may have ended up with something like Nnooo's escapeVektor for the 3DS eShop. Instead what is on offer in Radiantflux: Hyperfractal is a basic side scrolling shoot-em-up that has not been properly fleshed out and isn't half as fun to play. If you get the sudden urge to hack the mainframe anytime soon, maybe alternatives should be explored.
Liam Doolan · Dec 21, 2016 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - The controls in this game worked pretty well. At first I didn’t understand why it wasn’t a twin stick shooter, but with the use of bombs I could see why. I had a technical issue as well which I feel I should note. I played the whole game on the Wii U gamepad. No sound. I switched it to show up on the TV and Then it had sound. I played one level that way so I could experience it. It definitely is a game I would play with the sound on. I really enjoyed this game!
Ashlee Tefft · Dec 19, 2016 Reviewed on Wii U - Radiantflux: Fractal is cheap at $2.99, and the price is suitable. It’s short, it’s weird, and some people won’t like it, but I think it has a certain charm to it that made it pretty enjoyable. If you like more obscure style games, or shmups, this one may be up your alley.
