  • Quadropus Rampage is an old-but-gold action game with a wacky humor where we fight seemingly endless floors of enemies until we eventually die, upgrade our Quadropus, and repeat. It's one of the early games by indie studio Butterscotch Shenanigans - and I'm loving it!

  • Quadropus Rampage is a frenetic, fresh, and fun action packed assault that keeps throwing things at you. The main problems revolve around lasting enjoyment, and the game is just too shallow to outright recommend, though it’s worth considering if you liked the personality of Towelfight, or enjoy action packed brawlers. Quadropus Rampage has the potential to be great, but leaves it untapped.

  • Slightly irritating plunges between levels aside, Quadropus Rampage is a fantastic combination of gameplay elements that needs to be played over and over again. Not because that's the whole point, but because it's extremely fun. And also because that's the whole point, yes.

  • I think that’s fair here. As a free game it’s a borderline-addictive dungeon crawler with a few flaws that keep it from being, like, that good. As a title that set me back two or three or four bucks I’d be more inclined to chalk it up under the kinda-fun-but-boring column. There are very few games, in my opinion, that would benefit from that kind of shift. For all the other things it does, that’s maybe the most unique thing Quadropus Rampage has going for it. Check it out.

  • In conclusion, the folks at Butterscotch Shenanigans took a classic game genre and gave it their own touch of originality, endowing it with both casual gameplay and fun scenery. The outcome: a must-play game.

  • There's very little to complain about with Quadropus Rampage. It's an excellent roguelike/brawler hybrid with a control system that matches the fast-paced action. In addition, the randomized aspects, long-term Masteries and upgrade systems do a great job keep you playing.

  • But my reservations are minor and few, and overall Quadropus Rampage is an outstanding game and a fine follow-up to Towelfight 2. It’s fast, it’s challenging, it’s funny, and most important of all, it’s a lot of silly, goofy fun.

  • Despite some control issues, Quadropus Rampage proves that an octopus with four tentacles can mess up bad guys just as effectively as the eight-legged breed.
