- I have to say that after playing Konami’s long running Pro Evolution Soccer on the 3DS, I am somewhat impressed. The game looks good, it controls well, and it is a pretty darn enjoyable title. The lack of a true online experience was a bit of a let down, but nothing that should turn people away from this game. Soccer fans and sports fans alike should pick up this title for their brand new shiny 3DS.
Kirby Yablonski · Apr 17, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Most handheld sports games (and launch ones, at that) have a hard time presenting gamers with a compelling feature set or satisfactory gameplay experience. Pro Evo 2011 for the 3DS goes some way toward alleviating that problem, but in the process comes up with new ones all its own.
Matthew Kato · Apr 05, 2011 Reviewed on 3DS - The core gameplay in Pro Evo 2011 3D is enjoyable, but it's constantly failed by the rest of the cart's fundamentals. Even with the game's limitations and shortsighted exclusions of some modes, the few options available to customize your experience makes for one of the best portable soccer games on the market. That may not be saying much, though.
Mike Suszek · Apr 04, 2011 Reviewed on 3DS - But, like many past football games at the launch of a new system, it's lacking a few features and the series' usual idiosyncrasies are more grating than ever. It's clearly a very good handheld game, but there's a lot of room for improvement.
Justin Towell · Mar 29, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D nails the on-pitch action but lets itself down with a limited feature set. If you absolutely have to have a kick about in 3D this is currently your only option as the world's first 3D football game, but be aware of all the missteps such a title carries with it.
James Newton · Mar 29, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - As has been the way for longer than I can remember, I can't help but like PES despite a severe case of déjà vu. The 3D looks pretty smart, but this is the same old PES I've played many, many times before. It's still a smart game of football, but as with a number of 3DS launch games, it's not making the most of the hardware and doesn't really offer anything new.
Tom Orry · Mar 24, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D makes a strong debut on the 3DS, and of all the launch titles available it puts forward one of the strongest arguments for Nintendo's brave new vision of the future.
Martin Robinson · Mar 23, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Pro Evolution Soccer 3D plays a good game of football and offers enough content to keep you happy if you're going to be playing alone or with a friend locally. However, the lack of game modes means that there's not much variety, while the omission of any online mode severely limits its attraction if you like to play with friends remotely.
Guy Cocker · Oct 19, 2010 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - The 3D adds much more than you’d think to an already pleasingly deep version of the beautiful game, but it’s a shame there's not enough content to back it up
Simon Reed · Mar 30, 2011 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Old flaws remain and no online play, but it's still compulsive and challenging
