- Hardcore fans of the Sly, Ratchet and Jak franchises and younger audiences might find enough here to warrant a purchase. There’s simply not enough meat to the game play to make it attractive to the rest of the gamer demographic. The graphics and sounds are okay but the most disappointing part of this game is the Move implementation. If you’re going to literally put the word Move in your title, you best make sure it’s implementation is fun and works well. Sadly, it doesn’t.
Shad Forsyth · Apr 06, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - PlayStation Move Heroes takes a fantastic concept, rich with personable characters, and throws it in the dirt. At its core, PlayStation Move Heroes is nothing more than a mash-up of marginally fun mini-games. Co-operative play and collecting gold medals adds diversity, but not enough to break up the repetitive gameplay cycle.
Zak Islam · Apr 06, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - With its dodgy narrative, interchangeable characters and distressing lack of variation, PlayStation Move Heroes does little more than sully the name of otherwise respectable characters.
Jamin Smith · Apr 06, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - Uneven controls make it a chore to compete in some of the events, and the entire package is hurt by the crushing repetition. It's still fun to control an airborne disc or shoot down idiotic robots, but that mild entertainment is not worth suffering through the rest of this adventure. Ratchet, Sly, and Jak deserve much better than this uninspired collaboration.
Tom Mc Shea · Apr 05, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - These little touches go a long way to please fans of the original games, but it does not hide the fact that the core game is a fairly mediocre, repetitive collection of games that aren’t quite small enough to be considered mini, but not nearly large enough to be considered full.
Kyle Hilliard · Mar 30, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - Heroes is better than the typical Move cash-in, and every now and then the action is reminiscent of what makes these three franchises popular. However, with more characters than gameplay events, and no interaction between the protagonists outside of a few cutscenes, it’s hard to imagine a fan that wouldn’t feel disappointed by this (non)mash-up.
Jeff Marchiafava · Mar 22, 2011 Reviewed on PS3 - A decent story could have saved me from disappointment, but PlayStation Move Heroes doesn't even have that. I can't even recommend this game as an easy Trophy game. Unless you're desperate for a new Move title, or to see your heroes slum it, just skip it.
Jack Devries · Mar 22, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - The bottom line is that you'd have to be beyond desperate to buy PlayStation Move Heroes. Even at its budget price, it is vastly overpriced in today's gaming market. Sony is going to need to do a lot better than slapping its characters on the box to win over Move converts.
Andrew Groen · Mar 22, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - The problem is that while Move Heroes steals the IP of a big-budget Sony title, it borrows none of the gameplay conventions that made the original franchises so entertaining.
