  • Indeed, it’s one of the best social videogames I’ve ever played. But make no mistake, it is a social game, and our Miis will find no lasting significance here. Running rampant beneath a plethora of timeless classics, they can all but fulfill Nintendo’s latest assertion: that there is, in fact, something for everyone.

  • At the same time, it also manages to bring together friends and family in a way that I find not possible with online gaming. If this review hasn’t spelled it out for you already, there is a lot of content and potential included in this package to make it more than worth your while and keep you coming back for more as Nintendo Land is a pretty darn good game. No “fast-passes” required this theme park either.

  • Imaginative concepts allow Nintendo Land to deftly showcase early ideas of what can be achieved with the Wii U GamePad. There’s plenty to enjoy here that, to me at least, provides a far more enamouring experience than Wii Sports ever granted.

  • Nintendo Land isn't just a fine showcase of the Wii U's capabilities, though it certainly is that. It's also a great game in its own right, and particularly if you have friends or family members with whom you can play all of the multiplayer attractions, it's a great way to start getting a lot of enjoyment out of the new console immediately.

Nintendo Land is a brilliant show of what Nintendo’s new console and tablet controller are capable of, and has far more depth and content then you’d expect from a mini-game collection. The attractions are ridiculously fun and offer plenty of variety, whether you’re flying solo or entertaining a group.

  • Nintendo Land is both a wonderful celebration of Nintendo's past and an exciting glimpse into its future, but more importantly it is incredibly, riotously fun. It's one of the best local multiplayer experiences ever crafted, and playing with friends is a guaranteed great time.

  • All in all Nintendo Land is a worthwhile addition to your library and a smart pack-in by Nintendo for their deluxe model. You may not gravitate towards it when you are by yourself - it is best played in small spurts in a group much like board games are - but with 12 different attractions and various gameplay modes within most of them, there is likely something for everybody. Really, for the traditional gamer it is something (exactly like Wii Sports) that will be pulled out when you have a group of people to entertain, but will attract some dust when you are alone.

  • Sure, there will be those who say: Nintendo Land is just a collection of mini games. Yet we'd respond: it's a collection of well made mini-games that everyone will enjoy, and especially those that play with friends. Nintendo Land allows a different, new perspective on video games and leaves us with an extremely pleasant feeling in our thumbs.

  • Better yet, it reclaims the used and abused mini-game compilation from the hollow hinterlands of the casual cash-in, lovingly restores it and puts it back where it belongs - amid the hustle, the buzz, the urgent appeal of the arcade. Roll up, roll up!

  • Nintendo Land isn’t really a game worthy of an incredible review score since it’s fairly simple in terms of graphics and gameplay, but judged as a hardware showcase launch title, it’s about as good as it gets.
