  • Motorstorm Apocalypse simply just doesn’t measure up to the gold standard of Sony exclusives and it comes nowhere near the potential of what was shown back in 2005. I said it earlier in this review, and I will repeat it again, I really wanted to love this game. It has all the elements and a ton of potential, but it just falls way short in its execution. A real shame because this one could have been really, really good. Let’s hope for better in the next game.

  • Eutechnyx have done a nice job with NTG: 2011 but it isn’t going to win over many converts. “For fans only” is a well worn cliche, but in a game as incredibly specific and dedicated as NTG: 2011, it’s the truth

NASCAR The Game 2011 shines in the midst of pack racing where it’s a compelling game that anyone who likes moving fast on four wheels can enjoy. But the experience on the outside of the pack and the flawed online play make it a less than successful overall package

  • NASCAR 2011: The Game has its highs and its lows, and while the overall career mode is pretty shallow and the presentation can sometimes be quite inconsistent, the core gameplay, specifically the sense of immersion, is what will be bringing players back

  • When the game finds its groove, it delivers a good sense of enjoyable tension that rewards smart, controlled driving. Unfortunately, the more deeply you dig, the deeper the hole NASCAR 2011 digs itself into. There's a lot of room for this series to improve, and developer Eutechnyx need only look to the superior NASCAR games of previous generations for proper inspiration

  • An arcade racer that has more to offer than a few hundred left turns, NASCAR The Game 2011 provides plenty of thrills despite some bumps in the road.

  • Race rewinds and proximity radar are cool additions to handling the sport. Apart from the need to amp up the difficulty, the racing feels solid. This isn’t a deep experience, but it gives you a decent taste of NASCAR racing

  • Deep between all of its issues, there's a successful core to NASCAR 2011. The idea of combining an arcade feel to a sport sim is one that could work really well in this case, but the game's bugs, errors, and lack of realism bring it down far too much to be enjoyed

  • NASCAR 2011: The Game for Wii is an unfortunate misfire for a series that has seen better days. If you absolutely must play a NASCAR game this year, avoid this version at all costs (especially fully priced). There are much better racing experiences out there but unfortunately none of those alternatives bear the valuable NASCAR license. Being only the first entry from developers Euthechnyx, who delivered a more comprehensive HD version of the game earlier this year, NASCAR 2011: The Game doesn't completely erase the hope that we may someday have a worthy NASCAR game on Wii, but it sure doesn't help.

  • Many will leave disappointed, yet the more reasonable should still welcome this faithful yet flawed interpretation of their sport. Come the inevitable sequel, though, the developer will need to really turn the corner
