  MotorStorm RC is a fancy little RC racer that has quite a bit of content to enjoy. If you've already plopped down a small fortune for the Vita, then you'll surely appreciate the free download. Of course, once you start picking up some of the Vita's other games, I have a feeling this one will be quickly forgotten. It's addictive at first, but I just don't see it holding interest after several hours of play unless you have a highly competitive group of friends to continually challenge to best your scores.

  The game also shares your overall time through all events and races, meaning that you won’t be able to beat a friend just by picking the one track you’re good at. If top down racers appeal to you, this game could easily eat up a huge amount of your time, even if some of the later levels get a little repetitive. Cross-play functionality save sharing is top notch, but a lack of online multiplayer is a shame. MotorStorm RC is easily one of the Vita’s best budget games, as well as top title for the PS3.

  But with its plethora of courses and vehicles, variety of modes and an endless, pervasive sense of competition, it's a generous package, and even more so given that a purchase of the Vita version nets you a PS3 copy as well, your progress persistent between the two versions. Other launch games may better sell Vita's touch, tilt or AR capabilities, but there is no better advertisement for its connectivity.

  MotorStorm RC is a staggering title: not only is it a successful test bed for one of the PlayStation Vita’s most promising features, but it’s also a cunningly addictive game in its own right. The social functions at the centre of the experience are brilliantly well integrated, and bring longevity to the package despite its meagre price point. Regardless of platform, MotorStorm RC is utterly essential.

  Of all the Vita launch titles, MotorStorm RC is the most natural fit for short gaming sessions. It's ideal to jump into for a few minutes, but that doesn't prevent it from being a huge timesink once its hooks are in. Thanks to the excellent leaderboard integration RC - a game without any direct head-to-head multiplayer - offers a greater sense of competition than many standard racing games, and will tug at you time and time again.

  MotorStorm RC is a taste of what arcade gaming used to be like all those years ago. It’s refreshingly simple and doesn’t get bogged down with trying to be the biggest or the fastest and as a result it’s a lot of fun. The idea of being constantly connected to the leaderboards is a stroke of genius, especially because it’ll pull in times for people playing on both Vita and on PS3, but perhaps MotorStorm RC’s crowning glory is its price.

  MotorStorm RC contains plenty of horse and carrot unlockables to coax you into improving, with around a hundred variations of over 20 motors to snatch up. Each class of mini-racer performs differently to the others, either pulling off the line quicker, oversteering a little more, or reaching a higher maximum speed. What appears to be an early '90s throwback racer is, in actuality, an extremely forward-thinking game in terms of simplicity of play, online connectivity, and pricing

  MotorStorm RC isn't two games in one, it's one game in two - and it's an absurd bargain. With online multiplayer, it would be a miniature classic. As it is, it's recommended for PS3 owners, all but essential if you have a Vita - and for lovers of RC cars or top-down racing, it's a rare treat.

  Evolution ha dado un giro a su clásica saga de velocidad con una propuesta refrescante, divertida y muy bien realizada. Motorstorm RC ofrece altos niveles de entretenimiento simple y directo, aportando una cantidad de contenido importante para tratarse de un juego descargable. Una gran adición al catálogo de esta nueva consola.

  Zudem besticht der Titel durch sein liebevolles Design, wenn man mit den Mini-Flitzern auf putzigen Offroad-Pisten über Stock und Stein braust, kleine Staubwolken aufwirbelt oder Kisten physikalisch korrekt über den Haufen fährt. Allerdings ist die Darstellung nicht flüssig und etwas mehr Dynamik wie plötzliche Hindernisse hätten den Pisten ebenfalls nicht geschadet. Das größte Manko ist jedoch die Abwesenheit von direkten Onlineduellen.
