- Monster Jam Showdown nie je najlepšia racingovka roka, ale ani ňou nechce byť. Má to byť poctivá arkádovka s prístupnou kariérou pre každého, čo autorom vyšlo. Ktokoľvek si ku hre môže sadnúť a zábavne zajazdiť. Nenájdete tu nejaké dych berúcu hĺbku, neočarí vás fenomenálne spracovanie a dokonca vás občas naštvú niektoré chyby. Ale arkádové jazdenie vás naozaj dokáže zabaviť a nič vás od neho nezdržuje. Nie sú tu žiadne zbytočné gimmicky a kopa vaty. Jednoducho sadnete za volant monster trucku a môžete jazdiť na pestrých tratiach v kope herných disciplín. Niekedy stačí aj takto málo, aby si človek hru užil.

Monster Jam Showdown se queda sin gasolina a mitad de la carrera. Por un lado, trata de ofrecer el suficiente contenido y una serie de mecánicas entretenidas, pero termina por presentarnos una experiencia que no tiene el mismo nivel de calidad que sus trabajos previos. El resultado es un título de carreras que puede ser difícil de recomendar para alguien que no sea un fan de los camiones monstruo.

All your favorite licensed monster trucks are here, but their similar driving characteristics and sounds deflate the excitement.

Controlli immediati e manovrabilità elevata li rendono adatti a tanti giocatori diversi, soprattutto a chi non ama i sistemi di guida simulativi più complicati. Ciononostante, l'anima arcade e spensierata del titolo non basta a mitigare del tutto i limiti della gestione della fisica o del sistema di collisioni, a cui bisogna aggiungere un'offerta contenutistica che non sempre ci ha soddisfatto.

Performing stunts is undoubtedly fun, but the stadium events are boring even though they mimic what you'd see in a Monster Jam event. The races are enjoyable until you get stuck behind a truck or crash into a rock wall and spin around unrealistically. The number of available events makes for a lengthy single-player mode, while multiplayer is a good addition. Young players enamored with monster trucks will enjoy this title the most, while all other racing fans should approach it with the above caveats in mind.

It's pretty fun and it's above all stylish and ultimately a perfectly fine racing game with cool vehicles.

But this time around the full force of Unreal 5 is unleashed, creating a frequently stunning and impressive-looking game. Despite their size, the superstars of Monster Jam handle brilliantly the different environments and challenges on offer. Given that most fans who attend the real-life shows or watch on TV will have their favourite truck and driver it is a bit of a shame that pretty much all of the trucks need to be unlocked via play time and challenges. Other than that though, believe it or not, I have played a tonne of Monster Truck-themed games in my lifetime and the bar is higher than you might think. Monster Jam Showdown gets a pass from me.
