"Middle Earth: Shadow of War" is the long-awaited sequel to "Shadow of Mordor," and let me tell you, I was beyond excited to jump back into the world of Middle Earth! As a huge fan of the first game, I couldn't wait to continue the thrilling adventure of Talion and Celebrimbor.

Visually, "Shadow of War" takes everything that made the first game stunning and cranks it up a notch. The landscapes are even more jaw-dropping, and the attention to detail is seriously impressive. It's like stepping into the world of Middle Earth for real! And the Steam Deck handled it like a champ, delivering a consistent 60 fps throughout my entire playthrough.

The sound design in "Shadow of War" is just as fantastic as before, with an epic musical score and realistic sound effects that truly draw you into the game. And the voice acting is on point, bringing the characters to life and making you feel their emotions and struggles.

The interaction and gameplay mechanics build on what made "Shadow of Mordor" so fun to play. The Nemesis System is back and better than ever, giving us even more opportunities to shape our own unique stories with the game's dynamic enemies. And the controls are smooth and intuitive, making combat and exploration a breeze. Playing on the Steam Deck was a dream, with responsive controls that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the action.

As for the characters, "Shadow of War" takes us deeper into Talion's journey of revenge and the internal conflict with Celebrimbor. There are also some new characters that add fresh layers to the story. The interactions between familiar and new faces create a compelling narrative that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

But let me tell you, the real standout feature in "Shadow of War" is the introduction of fortresses and the epic Nemesis System. Building and conquering strongholds, leading massive battles against enemy forces - it's like the ultimate power trip! This element adds a whole new strategic layer to the gameplay, and I couldn't get enough of it.

As a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings franchise, "Shadow of War" delivered everything I could have hoped for in terms of expanding the lore and adding new dimensions to the beloved characters and world. The game seamlessly weaves its story into the existing mythology, and it's a total treat for fans like me.

And playing it on the Steam Deck was an absolute delight. The device's portability allowed me to take my gaming on the go, and I loved being able to play "Shadow of War" wherever I wanted. The controls were smooth and responsive, and I didn't experience any lag or issues at all. It's like having a high-end gaming PC in the palm of your hand!

In conclusion, "Middle Earth: Shadow of War" is a fantastic game, and playing it on the Steam Deck made the whole experience even better. If you're a fan of epic action-adventure games and you want a gaming device that can deliver a seamless and impressive performance, then the Steam Deck is definitely the way to go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Its aa good game but I got bored after some time since it feels repetitive and story is not very good.

This is the prequel to the Shadow of Mordor game and completes the story of Talion as you finally get a Ring of Power to enslave orc and do your bidding. The gameplay is solid with upgrades for each ability and this time you finally get to ride a drake which is a mini dragon. The conquering camps are replaced by conquering Castles which you put a siege on and take your army to fight against the defender and vice versa. You can put spies and minions as well which can help you take over them in a strategic manner. The game finally gives you to fight Balrog but the boss-battle would have been more epic if it was not just defeating him by giving him acupressure. I like how they changed Shelob to a goth lady from a spider and enriched the story with her. After you watch the first ending of the game, you bring Order to Mordor which is very tedious process of conquering and defending the castles over and over again until you finally get the true ending. The DLC is great as you play with minor characters which come in the main story but have their own weapon system and gadgets which make it fun.

A amazing sequel of another great game. Shadow of War is one of the best games on the ps4 but despite that it also has some flaws. Its story and combat system is great no compliant there but the boss fights can be a bit annoying as they are very hard to fight without you having to dodge every second, but despite that its still a great game.

First, I gotta say this. If you haven't played Shadow of Mordor, then I advise that you not play Shadow of War. Why? Cause Shadow of Mordor has everything that this game has. However, if you have played the first game and still have that LoTR craving that needs a fix, then, by all means, play this game. Shadow of War is basically like an expansion of the first game. It has a far more impressive Nemesis system, bigger worlds to explore, equipment sets and gems to strengthen your character and a stronghold defense/invade minigame. However, it has its problems. And that problem is the constant grind. By act 4, you will be grinding for Legendary orcs to help defend your stronghold. I won't spoil anything from the main story. But let's just say that you will be doing this to achieve the true ending of the game. If you have played the first game and if you can look past the somewhat pokemon-esque feel of collecting orcs, then Shadow of War is the game for you.
