  • Mekorama is an isometric puzzle game where we’re tasked with getting a robot to a specific destination in small 3D diorama levels. It has been made by the creator of the excellent puzzle game, Odd Bot Out, and it’s basically a 3D version of that game with more colors.

  • In the end, this port turned out to be an average experience for me in most ways. I’d suggest checking out the free version first (on mobile with half the levels). Subsequently, you can decide if adding Mekorama to your Switch digital library is the right call. You should know after a dozen levels or so if this game is for you.

  • Think of a pocket-sized Minecraft (and yes, we already know that exists, thank you) and you’re pretty much on the right track. With a bit of time and patience, you could create some levels that no doubt rival the ones already available, but if this isn’t something you’re interested in, there’s plenty to be getting on with regardless.

  • Mekorama is one of the highest-reviewed games I've done, and for good reason. The game is: -easy to learn, -offers a fantastic visual experience, -is family friendly, -is free, -and is just plain fun!

  • A lot of passion went into this "pay what you want" project, and I highly suggest checking it out. Mekorama might not wow you from minute-one with incredible visuals, but once you start getting addicted to the QR creation aspect, you may not be able to put it down or a while. I would absolutely be up for a sequel with new mechanics and the same focus on sharing levels with the community.

  • If you like clever puzzles and prefer the indie side of the market, you should be playing Mekorama by now.

  • Extremely lightweight and easy to learn, this app is great for people who want a different kind of puzzler that doesn't have a million things going on. The images, though small, are crisp and work well within the confines of the game. The soundtrack is fun as well. Control wise, it does take a little while to get used to, but they work really well.

  • Just as our tiny robot hero is made up of lovingly crafted bits and bytes, Mekorama is a composite of finely designed puzzles, expert animation, and thoughtful player engagement that makes it a true pleasure to play. Consider this a must play.

  • I guess that brings me full circle really. The thing with Mekorama is that it’s partially missing that killer puzzle game feature. I’ve mentioned it before, the “one more go factor”. It has ideas, but not enough of them versus the amount of levels that are on offer. As a result some stages can feel repetitive, meaning when you hit a difficult one you’ll most likely give up quicker than you otherwise would have done.
