  Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered is a fantastic game full of classic Spider-Man charm, with fantastic movement and smooth combat that emphasizes the nature of the web-head. With a compelling story and good character moments, this reviewer is going to be very much looking forward to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales when it comes to Steam, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 when it finally releases. Here's hoping it will be soon.

  Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered remains one of the greatest superhero games, even after the success of the Injustice and Arkham series. While it has a few flaws in both performance and its game design that hold it back from perfection, it finds its footing with its well-written characters and fun gameplay.

  I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game thanks to a great story, fast-paced combat and traversal mechanics that are just way too exciting. Hopefully we can expect more quality ports from Sony going forward.

  The title is an absolute delight to play through, and while a few of our original remarks remain, such as the sometimes annoying web-slinging controls, we enjoyed every minute of this original Spider-Man story. The title runs buttery smooth on PC, and with many different customization options, the game has never looked better.

  Marvel’s Spider-Man continues to be one of the best superhero video games released in the last decade, thanks in no small part to Yuri Lowenthal’s committed and passionate performance as Peter Parker, and the overall lighthearted tone that keeps players feeling good over the course of its 20-hour runtime.

  Marvel’s Spider-Man is a big, beautiful rehash of very familiar Spider-Man stories, which makes it feel like a bit of an imitation in the end. An exceptional imitation to be sure, but it could have been so much more.

  It’s as fun becoming Spider-Man today as it was back in 2018, with his web-slinging antics wonderfully brought to life. Factor in the enhanced performance and visuals, as well as the wealth of content, and you have one of the best superhero games ever made.

  Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered may not be as well-rounded an experience as Rocksteady's Arkham games, certainly City and possibly Knight too. But when you're swinging through Time Square in glorious sunshine as New York's citizenry gazes agog at you from below, well, it's a superhero high that even the Caped Crusader would struggle to beat.
