- Madden 15 is easily the most complete release in the series so far, with all of the improvements tying together to create an enjoyable and enthralling game of American Football. Even if you’re not that knowledgeable about play-types or the difference between a half-back and a full-back, Madden 15 will have you playing like a pro and feeling like one as well.
Dominic Leighton · Sep 08, 2014 Reviewed on PS4, XB1, PS3, X360Read full review - Madden NFL 15 brought to you by the NFL's classist, uncaring, voracious appetite for profit and general moral failure as a multi-billion dollar business built on the backs of broken, mostly forgotten workers™ takes its existing defensive framework and makes it not suck. This lets me hit quarterbacks more and release the aggression that wells up when I see any of the in-game advertisements. The rest is Madden 25, but less hideous.
Steven Hansen · Sep 05, 2014 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Overall, I think this is a solid offering from EA and perhaps one of the best versions of Madden since the PS2/Xbox days. The revamped gameplay is a breathe of fresh air with the feeling of “FINALLY!” The Madden diehards have been waiting for this type of Madden since Madden 05. With the botched early versions on last-gen consoles, it’s relieving to see EA come out the gate on current-gen with such a high quality release.
Jason Dulin · Sep 04, 2014 Reviewed onRead full review - The best thing that can be said about Madden NFL 15 is that it works properly, and that it's made some notable, positive changes to defence and play calling that really improve the whole experience. It's no secret that in previous years, the changes were subtle and lacking, making it fantastic to see the franchise finally evolve in a meaningful manner, with dramatic camera angles and intense defensive battles bringing the fun back.
Edwin Garcia · Sep 04, 2014 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - So, is Madden 15 worth the upgrade? I’d say if you are happy with how Madden 25 plays, you may be disappointed with the lack of true innovation in Madden 15. However, there are a lot of little things to appreciate this year (tackle cone, The Gauntlet, better running, etc), and we’ve certainly seen worse year-to-year development in the past.
Caley Roark · Sep 02, 2014 Reviewed on X360Read full review - Madden NFL 15 marks a noticeable improvement for the long-standing franchise. This is a solid game of football, both on a technical and visual level. Much-needed resources have been allocated into improving the defensive side of things, while it visually looks more like a current-gen game than last year’s ports. ...remains a step forward for the series that even the most staunch Richard Sherman detractors will find difficult keeping this off their shelves.
Steve Hannley · Aug 29, 2014 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Even with the infrequent hiccup, unavoidable video segment or occasionally tiresome menu, Madden 15 has taken major strides in defining its place in the series. ...The whole package comes together with the best overall presentation Madden has ever seen. Madden 15 may not be an "authentic" football experience, but it proves that it doesn't need to be.
Mike Suszek · Aug 28, 2014 Reviewed on PS4 - Madden NFL 15 looks like a series that's done making excuses for itself, too. The run blocking took a critical beating last year, and instead of bolting on some solution like "steering" a lead blocker the game sucked it up, smartened up, and came back with an AI that creates running opportunities as dependable away from the line of scrimmage as the holes it has always opened in the trenches.
Owen S. Good · Aug 27, 2014 Reviewed on PS4, XB1Read full review - While holdover issues like problematic offensive lines, sometimes clunky running mechanics, deeply confusing in-game menus, annoyingly repetitive commentary, and various glitches of both the minor and severe varieties are still present, I didn't find myself sighing with exasperation over them nearly as much. ...Madden NFL 15 represents an encouraging step forward for this series. A small step, to be sure, but still a positive one.
Alex Navarro · Aug 27, 2014 Reviewed on PS4, XB1Read full review - The feature set remains fundamentally unchanged, but each of the core modes have increased in breadth and decreased in clutter, making it easy to dig into features that might have seemed too dense from a distance. Madden 15 looks sharper than ever, but its biggest achievement is its dedication to improving core systems that have held the series back in the past.
