- Just Dance 2022 does not bring anything new to the table, but it does stay true to everything that has been enjoyable about playing this franchise. Whether it’s really necessary to release an entirely new game every year just to add a few songs is debatable, but if you’re into adding exercise to your daily routine or are looking for a good time with friends, Just Dance 2022 won’t disappoint you.
Jessica · Dec 30, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Make sure to grab it on the Switch. I used to think using a phone’s gyro as a controller was already great, but using the Joy-Cons and the handful of gimmicks in it that no other developer uses is pure genius. Whether you use it as a party toy or as a cardio session, Just Dance 2022 is a lot more fun that it has any right to be.
Leo Faria · Nov 30, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - How long the good times last probably depends on whether you’re willing to finally cave and buy into the Unlimited option to get your sweaty hands on those 700 other songs. There’s a way in which Just Dance 2022 feels more like a starter pack than a full game, but it’s still a great excuse for us sedentary endomorphs with multiple left feet to move and have fun.
Mark Steighner · Nov 18, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The modern dance visuals and the addition of popular songs in Just Dance 2022 will likely appeal to longtime fans of the game; however, those who are new to the series may want to opt for a version a few years older, and purchase the Just Dance Unlimited subscription instead, to save money and learn gameplay with songs that have easier dance moves.
Laura Gray · Nov 09, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2022 is okay. It's more of the same with some cool new tracks, a slick and smooth experience overall that plays it safe and works just fine as a result. However, it also constantly pushes its subscription service and ends up feeling a little convoluted and tacky as it spends more time flogging tracks you don't own over letting you enjoy the ones included with the base game.
PJ O'Reilly · Nov 06, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Ultimately, you likely know what you’re in for with Just Dance 2022. There are a great range of new songs here, with some fun and challenging choreography and nice new visual styles that freshen things up somewhat. Add in Unlimited and you’ve potentially a game to last you a lifetime – if you’re willing to pay up. If you’ve not been won over up to now then this isn’t the game to change your mind, but fans of the series can expect yet another solid entry to enjoy until next year’s release.
Jamie Collyer · Nov 04, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - There’s no doubt that Just Dance 2022 has fallen into some of the traps of other annual games by not making it feel like a total makeover, but once you experience the quality choreography and improved visuals, you can’t deny that Ubisoft is still trying to deliver an exceptional product where it counts: the dancing and song selection.
Anthony Shelton · Nov 03, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2022 doesn’t change up the tried and tested formula of Just Dance too much but what it has added in terms of improved visuals has made for a more entertaining and immersive experience. For the first time in a while, it has demonstrated the possibilities for this classic franchise going forwards.
Gemma Young · Nov 29, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - In the end, Just Dance 2022 is just the tip of the iceberg. If you really like the game, then the majority of songs are locked behind a subscription, thankfully a fairly priced one. This, however, turns out to be one of the weakest entries in the series because of its OST, which is a shame, as the visual aspect is actually a definite improvement. In other words, Just… wait a bit, and maybe 2023 will bring forth something that's much better on the music front.
Athanasios · Nov 07, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Just Dance 2022 may be familiar, and it may bring little that's new to the table, but it's still a hell of a lot of fun.
