- It would be easy to dismiss Just Dance 2015 as the “same-old-same-old,” but that would overlook this finely tuned party game’s special-effects-laden dance numbers, complete with chorus lines and elaborate sets and costumes.... Though its overeagerness to hand out points and make everyone feel like a winner robs it of some competitive value, Just Dance 2015 just works as a fun, get-up-and-move game, with a wink and smile along the way.
Zack Stein · Dec 09, 2014 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Originators like Dance Dance Revolution relied on technical skill and Just Dance has an obvious wink for sloppy dancers or those not willing to practice at length. Despite my own wishes for changes to the tracklist, fans of the franchise and new Xbox One owners could do a lot worse for in-home dance simulations this Fall.
Daniel Bischoff · Nov 03, 2014 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - With a wide range of songs from many different genres, there is something here for just about everyone, though there is a steep learning curve with the lack of a true in-game tutorial. Dance Challenger Mode and Community Remix are excellent social additions, which is just the direction that Just Dance should naturally grow. Built perfectly for parties, Just Dance 2015 will likely not attract a massive audience of new gamers, but still provides a great product for fans of the series.
Dean James · Oct 30, 2014 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - If you’re in the mood to shake some grooves, Just Dance 2015 provides a lot of fun and entertainment for players both solo and in groups. It’s still, however, basically a retread of Just Dance 2014 with a few new additions that are neat, but not earth-shattering. Still, if you like the previous entries in this series, you’ll probably love this one, too.
Katrina Hill · Oct 29, 2014 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - Overall, Just Dance 2015 is much like its predecessors, but in the struggle to do something ‘new’ with the game, Ubisoft has added a lot of features that are not really worth your bother. Luckily these don’t interfere with your enjoyment from the very entertaining main game, and as long as you’ve got some good friends and enough self-confidence, Just Dance 2015 could well give you the licence to be the dancing buffoon you always wanted to be.
Alex Olney · Oct 28, 2014 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - It lets you just dance without any other worry. In some respects, that simplicity is a great thing. In others, it almost feels like a blind eye is being turned on some additional features and aspects that could really help to elevate the series. Even simple things like difficulty ratings are left out. Despite these misgivings, Just Dance 2015 does what it aims to do with a flourish in its step, and if the dancing is good, do we really need much else?
Chandler Wood · Oct 28, 2014 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Just Dance is a series that’s hard to hate as it genuinely wants players to have a good time, but 2015 is a misstep. Hardly anything has changed and practically nothing has for those who don’t partake in the online functionality, some features are missing and the interface has become too basic. More still, this is undoubtedly the worst tracklist of the entire series, squarely aiming towards a tween audience with tracks from One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer and other equally awful “artists.”
Steve Hannley · Oct 27, 2014 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Overall, Just Dance 2015 is much like its predecessors, but in the struggle to do something ‘new’ with the game, Ubisoft has added a lot of features that are not really worth bothering with. Darren Calvert · Oct 27, 2014 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Just like other yearly releases, Just Dance 2015 doesn’t reinvent the wheel but instead take the safe route with the “if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix” approach. We get a new slate of songs and a few new features but at its core Just Dance 2015 remains the same. This is not necessarily a bad thing because as far as virtual dancing games go, Just Dance 2015 is the best there is.
Trevor Houston · Oct 25, 2014 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Just Dance 2015 is a polished and enjoyable product, and whilst it’s potentially still behind the Dance Central series in a few key areas, including the way it monitors player actions, it makes up for this with its trademark styling, a strong collection of songs and intuitive online features. Who knows, it might even teach you a few moves to use on a Saturday night.
