- I never expected my time with Just Dance 2014 to turn me into the world’s greatest dancer, but I didn’t really expect to enjoy it either. After leaving my own issues of dancing incompetence at the door, I was able to have a thoroughly good time and provide some laughter for friends and family, and that was very enjoyable. I can’t say that I am going to start playing Just Dance 2014 on a daily basis, but I do believe this game has broken down a long-standing wall that I had been unwilling to demolish for a long time.
Joshua Bruce · Oct 08, 2014 Reviewed on PS3, Wii URead full review - As long as you have a Move controller in your hand, then Just Dance 2014 deserves your A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E. The impressive setlist and varied dance styles make this an incredibly fun title for both newcomers and experts alike. More consistency between modes would have been welcome, and improved standalone PlayStation Camera tracking could have certainly elevated the release even further.
Nathan Michalik · Dec 16, 2013 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Just Dance 2014 isn’t a must have next-gen experience. ...However, if you have a PS4, the currently underutilized PlayStation 4 Camera, and two or more people, Just Dance 2014 is worth consideration. In fact, if you want to play it alone… don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. I do it all the time! Just Dance is a guilty pleasure that few want to admit they are playing, but that everyone is having fun with, so give in to your heart’s desires and just… dance.
Chandler Wood · Nov 28, 2013 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - That feature alone isn't enough to make Just Dance 2014 a worthy upgrade over its predecessor. It all comes down to the routines and the songs, which are some of the best the series has ever had. A glorified song pack it may be, but this is still as fun a party game as you're going find, one that revels in its own brilliant silliness and that's all but guaranteed to get the party started.
Mark Walton · Oct 23, 2013 Reviewed onRead full review - Where Just Dance 2014 suffers is a problem that the series has faced for a few years. Those that have enjoyed their previous Just Dance experiences will revel in finding much of that same magic here, but the package fails to elevate itself enough beyond expectation. The new tracks, and inevitable downloadable content are welcome to the casual consumer, but we’re looking for a more daring leap to be taken.
Alex Seedhouse · Oct 22, 2013 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - But if you've played Just Dance before, you know you're playing for the music. And if you like the tracks here (I admit that Katy Perry's "Roar" is growing on me), then you'll be just fine wibbly-wobbling around with your friends. If you don't have any friends, then it's still a good exercise routine. I didn't find it as fun as Dance Central for Kinect, mostly because of the avatars giving me the heeby-geebies, but I suppose it'll do.
Kevin Schaller · Oct 22, 2013 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - If the idea of pop music was a game, it'd be Just Dance 2014. Ubisoft has made sure that the game is bright, shiny, and fun. Shake your way through today's hits and a couple of classics, but the experience will be so much better with friends and family.
Mike Williams · Oct 17, 2013 Reviewed on X360 - Just Dance 2014 exerts no pressure, and demands no skill. It just invites you to have fun with it, whoever you are and whatever music you like. It’s wildly silly, creative and colourful, relying on daft, characterful choreography and to evoke a party atmosphere that puts everyone at ease. There’s not a lot here that wasn’t in Just Dance 4, or even Just Dance 3, but the series’ talent for getting people up and dancing is still unmatched. Dancing is fun no matter what, but this game is a master facilitator of that fun, a catalyst for laughter.
Keza Macdonald · Oct 11, 2013 Reviewed onRead full review - From its brightly colored dancers to its lenient choreography, the Just Dance series has always emphasized fun when it comes to dancing. Its new songs and plenty of unlockables give you plenty of reasons to come back for more, and its online mode provides that perfect complement the series has always needed. Just Dance 2014 may not be the most innovative dance game currently available, but it’s definitely an improvement worth dancing to.
Giancarlo Saldana · Oct 08, 2013 Reviewed on X360Read full review - Dependable as ever, Just Dance 2014 is another solid entry into the hit dance series that simply wants players to have a good time. Its low entry price makes it a great yearly purchase if only to have on hand when you’re trying to entertain guests who are otherwise adversed to video games. Aside from the intriguing features of the Xbox One version looming on the horizon, there’s simply not much working against it. With one of the best soundtracks yet, great new modes in both On Stage and World Dance Floor and the sensible addition of karaoke, Just Dance 2014 is a blast.
