  • Indivisible is a game unlike many others. While combining both platforming and exploration with a real-time RPG combat system didn’t always keep my interest, the game has an unique style and engaging characters that did keep me coming back. I do feel that this game is more for those looking for an RPG rather than a Metroidvania, due to its slower pace and its ‘interrupting’ combat system.

  • On the other hand, the beautiful visuals, excellent voice acting, great writing, and top-notch combat prove to be strong elements of an argument in its favor. Indivisible may have some rough edges, but these don’t prove to overly hinder the generally enjoyable and charming nature of this adventure. It may not be perfect, but we’d still recommend you give Indivisible a look; this one’s certainly worth your time.

  • A fantastically charming mix of genres that, put together, produce a Metroidvania RPG that is utterly engaging. Even when Indivisible manages to misstep, the gorgeous aesthetic and oddball characters bring this adventure to life in a way that makes it an utter joy hold in your hands. If you can, take some time and grab Indivisible on Nintendo's handheld console.

  • Indivisible is a rare game that can rise above so many things not coming together, and whether you decide to dive in now with all its faults or wait another year for the ongoing polishing efforts to pay off, it will deliver a fantastic adventure that should easily stay with you long past the final closing credits.

  • Indivisible is one of the more memorable Metroidvanias that I’ve played in recent years with its unique and addictive combat system. Story issues aside I enjoyed every minute I spent with this game.

  • Despite lacking some quality of life improvements that we've grown used to in the sub-genres it's based on, as well as the absence of a few balance patches here and there, Indivisible is well worth the wait, and I will cherish the characters I've met in this journey for years to come. Indivisible brings its own mix of genres, packed with the best group of characters in years.

  • Indivisible is exactly what it looks like. It’s an indie-funded exploration of familiar, nostalgic genre space, with its own distinct flavor. It features ridiculously clean and complex animations, practically looking like a TV series in motion. It also opens up with some animation produced by Studio TRIGGER which is a real treat. While the combat isn’t as meaty as I’d like, and there isn’t a whole lot of exploration or nuance in its platforming, Indivisible is a lovely, wholesome, and breezy RPG experience that doesn’t come from the usual spots.

I loved this game when I first played the demo a year ago. I am glad players can finally get their hands on it, and truly this is not a game to be missed. It combines two genres perfectly and ends up creating the surprise hit of the year. It will be on my mind when game of the year rolls around and I recommend everyone giving it a look. I know the game world is swamped with releases this year, but this is one experience you do not want to miss.I loved this game when I first played the demo a year ago. • Considering the time and effort spent on the title, it’s nice that Indivisible turned out as wonderful as it did. Lab Zero Games managed to successfully thread together three different genres into one enticing package. It’s full of personality, gorgeously designed, and most importantly, a blast to play. Considering this is the studio’s first dive into the world of role-playing games, it’s hard to imagine how it could have gone any better. If they ever decide to take another crack at the genre, I’m hoping we won’t have to wait another four years to get our hands on it.

  • It’s obvious from its opening moments that Indivisible has a lot of loved poured into it, boasting gorgeous visuals and interesting characters sure to win over your heart. It isn’t a perfect example of either of the two genres it blends together, but it does plenty with each of them to make for an exciting adventure.

Indivisible is inspired by classic RPGs and platformers and built with the unique character, world, and gameplay depth Lab Zero Games is known for! Indivisible tells the tale of Ajna, a good-natured tomboy with a rebellious streak. Raised by her father on the outskirts of their rural town, her life is thrown into chaos when her home is attacked and a mysterious power awakens within her. Indivisible spans a huge fantasy world inspired by various cultures and mythologies. Throughout Ajna’s quest she’ll encounter many “Incarnations:” people whom she can absorb into herself and manifest to fight alongside her. There are many Incarnations to recruit, each with their own story and personality. By uniting people from far away lands, Ajna will learn about herself and the world she inhabits.
