  • Football fan or not, if you're looking for a charming portable adventure packed with memorable characters and creative gameplay, Inazuma Eleven will bicycle kick its way right into your heart.

  • Inazuma Eleven is a quirky and novel RPG, but the on-field action is too unrefined to be rewarding. As your team improves and your opponents get more formidable, a match becomes a parade of implausible magical techniques – which would be more entertaining if coordinating the gameplay basics like moving and passing were less frustrating.

  • If you want a serious soccer game, or if you favor monster-slaying to sportsmanship, Inzuma Eleven won't do much for you. If you're open to the idea combining the genres into an experience that's solid and a bit silly, Inazuma Eleven will make you laugh and cheer. Ole ole ole.

  • For any fans of those old RPGs, this should be a fun throwback for you. For kids, it’ll be a fun introduction to the genre. For everybody else… what the hell, it’s still a fun way to waste some time.

  • There’s a lot to love for both sports and RPG fans in Inazuma Eleven. The game is beyond deep -- thanks to 1,000 characters that can be molded into soccer gods – has a charming story, and some highly rewarding strategic gameplay. Inazuma Eleven is one of the best role-playing experiences I've had in a long time, and more importantly, rekindled a youthful feeling I've grown to miss.

  • Inazuma Eleven is an accessible RPG that does a nice job of explaining its nuances and tactics early on. It offers a unique blend of addictive collectivity and anime-style soccer action that culminates in an enjoyable and decently long experience. This is a solid debut for the franchise in North America and, at $19.99, an easy recommendation for RPG and soccer fans alike.

Nobody loves soccer like Mark Evans. As captain of the Raimon Junior High soccer club, he dreams of taking his team to the top and winning the legendary Soccer Frontier championship.
