- Implosion is a finely crafted indie title, but there are a few issues here and there which hamper the experience. I’m not the biggest fan of the game’s dialogue, but the voices definitely help flesh out the characters. These cons don’t write the game off completely, but they are things I hope Rayark improves on for their next installment.
Matt Paxton · Sep 18, 2017 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Thankfully, Implosion isn’t like an average phone game and it actually makes sense to port it to a console. It may not be as pretty, deep and fluid as the bigger titles it aspires to be, but it definitely did take me by surprise with how much I actually enjoyed it. With its fair price tag and replayability hook, Implosion happens to be a great little bit on the side.
Darren Palma · Jul 27, 2017 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - All told, Implosion is a satisfying mobile game that ultimately feels worthy of its console release, but it is a little inconsistent in its execution.
Mitch Vogel · Jul 17, 2017 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - If you’re looking for something to get your adrenaline pumping, whether you’re at home or on the go, Implosion delivers a challenge and excitement in a wallet-friendly package.
Justin Nation · Jul 06, 2017 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Wrapping up, I’d say that Implosion is a great game. I’m eager to see more of its kind on Play Store, which currently lacks serious triple-A titles. But at the same time, its price makes it comparable to the PC and console-style games – and when viewed in that light, Implosion isn’t exactly up to the level.
Tony Kuzmin · Apr 30, 2015 Reviewed on And - While the story isn’t anything mind-blowing, I would have really enjoyed being able to get into it during the gameplay experience more than I was able to. Headphones helped to an extent, but the when the combat situations drown out the character’s dialogue, there isn’t much you can do to improve the situation. There are no options to adjust the volume, either. These two issues, while worth mentioning, didn’t take much away from my overall experience. Implosion might just be the best action game that fans of the hack-and-slash genre can find on modern mobile devices.
Tom Christiansen · Apr 15, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Implosion also looks great, and there’s a good deal of variety to both the enemies and the environments. Really the only gripe I have is that some of the menu interface and the "Ark System: never gets an adequate explanation. Everything eventually clicks, but it can be daunting to dive into the upgrade system for the first time. A little skepticism is understandable, but if you enjoy action RPGs or have a soft spot for loot gathering thenImplosion - Never Lose Hope is a purchase you won’t regret.
Rob Rich · Apr 12, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Implosion is a hack ‘n’ slash action game that looks – from a distance – much better than it actually is. Once you start playing however, you’ll find a fairly average (if not downright mediocre) title with some great looking graphics. There’s simply nothing unique or enticing about this one aside from its shiny appearance, so you’re probably best to look elsewhere if you’re looking for something that engages you in any meaningful way.
Kyle Wakeling · Aug 11, 2017 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Fast, exciting, and full to the brim with action, Implosion - Never Lose Hope is well worth a long hard look.
Harry Slater · Apr 10, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - It might not be the most original game in the world, but there's something about Implosion - Never Lose Hope that will make you barge your way through its single player campaign. It's a big, brash action game that fits pretty much perfectly in the palm of your hand. And while you're slashing and blasting your way through its army of mutants and monsters, you won't be able to stop smiling. ...Fast, exciting, and full to the brim with action, Implosion - Never Lose Hope is well worth a long hard look.
