  RACE 07 fans that are craving the ultimate challenge should purchase Evolution if for no other reason then to experience the famous "green hell" of Nrburgring. The good news is that the retail box comes with both RACE 07 and Evolution; it's a great value for a great racing game.

  GTR Evolution is definitely an evolution of the series, as opposed to a revolution, and while the game is in need of a graphical overhaul, the rest of the game is all you could ask from a racing sim.

  The nuts and bolts of the game; its ease of use, the noises it makes, how much fun you have; hold the thing together so tightly that you don't hear the odd rattle and squeak. It'll annoy you every now and then, but you'll be unable to resist coming back.

  In the proper hands, the game can be a breeding ground for racing bliss. GTR Represents racing simulation realism at its absolute best, even if that means it sacrifices accessibility and broader appeal for general gamers. At a price of $19.99, you certainly can’t get much better than this.

  GTR Evolution is a good sim racer that fans should be happy to have. For its $19.99 price tag, you get a lot of content and replayability. If you’re looking for a racer that grinds on the gears and packs in the nitrous, you best look elsewhere. However if you want a real simulation with impressive graphics to spend hours on, GTR Evolution delivers in spades.

  Not that winning is all that important in GTR: Evo. The reason this game and its predecessors perch atop their genre is they make every sweet passing move, crisply negotiated corner and shaved second feel like a podium finish.

  Einen Quantensprung dürfen Fans der GTR-Rennspielreihe von GTR Evolution nicht erwarten, dafür bietet das Addon einfach deutlich zu wenig an neuen Inhalten. Das famose Rennfeeling und die gebotene Fahrphysik dieser Simulation sind allerdings nach wie vor Referenzklasse und mit dem neuen Arcade-Modus macht Entwickler Simbin das Spiel deutlich zugänglicher für Anfänger.

  Die Fahrphysik ist fantastisch und auch der Umfang kann sich mit dem großen Fuhrpark sowie der tollen Streckenauswahl sehen lassen, die mit der Nürburgring Nordschleife und weiteren lizenzierten Pisten erweitert wurde. Auch die vielfältigen Setup-Möglichkeiten lassen keine Wünsche offen und das Schadensmodell weiß trotz eingeschränkter optischer Darstellung insgesamt zu überzeugen.

  GTR Evolution, ou un titre de jeu finalement assez trompeur. Parce qu'il ne repose pas sur la licence FIA GT tout d'abord (à l'inverse de GTR) et parce que ses fameuses évolutions se résument en réalité à une poignée de modèles supplémentaires et trois tracés, heureusement mythiques et assez complets pour y consacrer des heures de pilotage.
