- Green Hell is a survival game set in the Amazon jungle. You must meet with a tribe and find clues to remember why you've come to them.
Juan Carlos Ortiz · Feb 12, 2022 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Green Hell is the best survival game I’ve played, but let’s be honest, the bar isn’t all that high and it’s like the best house on a bad block.
Dev Crowley · Jun 30, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Green Hell is an absolutely fantastic survival game. The way the jungle pulls you in with its beauty at the same time as punishing you for even the smallest of mistakes. Creepy Jar have done a great job making you both feel consumed by the jungle as well as adding the psychological strain of being stranded alone.
Ross Mitchell · Jun 26, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Green Hell is right up your alley. The abuse on players is relentless and creates an almost Stockholm syndrome-like experience. All the survival enthusiasts will keep coming back for more and more punishment.
Cosmin Vasile · Jun 21, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Despite this port missing the mark with optimization, Green Hell still stands tall among its contemporaries as one of the better recent games of its sort while also pulling off a compelling story.
John Cantees · Jun 12, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - The inclusion of a story may not be for everyone, but having a reason to explore the game’s dense environments kept me far more engaged than simply building a nice-looking hut. With a creepy vibe aided by its sanity mechanics and intimidating enemies, and survival mechanics that make you think, Green Hell didn’t turn out so hellish after all.
Aaron Bayne · Jun 08, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - The Spirits of Amazonia update grants a lot of new and interesting features for Green Hell, and adds in an engaging storyline as well that is exciting for newcomers and veterans of the game alike.
Cody Peterson · Feb 07, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - I don’t hate Green Hell, but I do lament what it could have been. I went into the game with an open mind and a willingness to try things out. Sadly, the lack of coherent direction and awkward controls made the game overly difficult. While I’m not adverse to challenge, it is a nitpick of mine to get lost due to sloppy design.
Josh Speer · Nov 23, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Green Hell is a brutally tough, deep and satisfying open-world survival sim. It suffers from the same inherent repetition and often infuriating difficulty as most other examples of its genre, but these are problems offset here by satisfying crafting and construction systems, clever smartwatch and body inspection elements and a story mode that easily trumps the vast majority of offerings we've come across in a survival sim.
PJ O'Reilly · Oct 30, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Green Hell is a thoroughly engaging survival outing. Shelters aside, crafting is strictly optional and it’s possible to just scavenge your way through the game. It’s the little accomplishments that make Green Hell so satisfying, such as learning which herb will cure poison and which will pebbledash your shelter walls with puke. The game’s story, a cut above the usual survival narrative, is the icing on the cake.
