  • At the end of the Day I walked away from Game & Wario feeling fairly disappointed. Given Wario’s great gaming background, Game & Wario leaves much to be desired. The selection of games is sparse, and even though a few of the games are fun, it doesn’t make up for the amount of ones that aren’t. The serious lack of content hurts even when the game is priced at $40 and at the end of the day Game & Wario provides an underwhelming experience.

  • Overall, Game & Wario doesn't have the consistency or the creativity expected from the series. Seeing Wario's once-awesome microgame galleries turned into a bog-standard minigame-fest is disappointing in its own right, too. WarioWare farted in the face of conventional game design, and further installments made creative use of new control schemes without losing the pacing and craziness the original established.

  • Game and Wario offers a solid, non-threatening experience with glimmers of gaming genius, but the series has seen better days. Game and Wario is an amusing diversion, sure, but I can't quite bring myself to care.

  • Game & Wario is the most "normal" game in the WarioWare series (assuming it's officially a part of the series) which is part of what makes it so weird. As a whole, it's all over the place, sometimes original, sometimes derivative, sometimes dry, sometimes funny, sometimes simple, sometimes complicated.

  • Despite the number of single player games indicating otherwise, Game & Wario isn't at its best when played alone — with multiple willing participants it's a hoot and, while it doesn't match up to Nintendo Land as Wii U's premier multiplayer experience, it certainly has its share of games that you're going to want to play again and again.

  • Game & Wario could come as a disappointment if you’re accustomed to excellent past collections that bare the Wario moniker.

Wario Ware was once bristling with creativity and energy, fizzing and sputtering with mad, short-form ideas, but Game & Wario is just a bit boring. The selection of games is sparse, and a couple of excellent ones don't make up for the rest. The Wii U is still waiting for its Wii Sports moment.

  • Some creative flair and the option of either playing alone or with friends can't hide the fact that Game & Wario is a disappointment. It feels very much like a selection of tech demos that have been given a lick of paint and some Wario themes, rather than a cohesive concept in the same spirit as his manic adventures of the past.

  • The WarioWare series is best known for its creative and zany mini-games. Though simple and short, they bring a lot of life and fun to the table. Game & Wario does none of this. The game selection is minimal, the fun is non-existent, and the game as a whole feels rushed.

The very definition of a mixed bag, Game & Wario is innovative, but stingy with it....
