  • Buried Memory brings some intriguing developments to the main story, tough new fights to master, a healthy heaping of nostalgia, and an entire island to get lost on when you aren’t busy saving the world.

  • Endwalker does exactly what it sets out to do. It ends a long-running story with style, and give us even more of the game that we love. Such a fantastic end to the storyline, and I am looking forward to what the future holds for Final Fantasy XIV.

Endwalker, and Final Fantasy 14 as a whole, is an inspiring feat. Over a decade later, Square Enix has told an unforgettable tale and managed to deliver a satisfying, beautiful end to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga. This is a story you’ll be thinking about for years to come.

  • Endwalker caps off a story over a decade in the making in spectacular fashion and cements it as one of the series' best entries.

  • Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is a fantastic expansion that pays homage to the series' legacy and is a beautiful send-off to a ten-year-long story arc. The plot me had engaged throughout its entirety, the characters are memorable, and the new dungeons and Trials are satisfying to conquer. While some Job changes could be improved with future patches, many of them are welcome additions to the game.

  • Endwalker is not the end, but it is very definitely an end. In the game, it is the end of the tale of Hydaelyn and Zodiark, the Ascians, and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn who rose to challenge them.

  • Final Fantasy XIV was already a must-play if you were into Final Fantasy, but with Endwalker, it feels like it has become even more of an essential pick. There simply is no other game that delivers on its promises in much the same way, and with the same scope. Even if you’re not into MMOs, you owe it to yourself to see Final Fantasy XIV to its conclusion.

  • Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the biggest and boldest FFXIV expansion yet, even if it does occasionally stumble. The new jobs are some of the best the game has ever seen, and the dungeon and world design are absolutely top-notch. If you haven't jumped on board the FFXIV train yet, you have more reason than ever.

  • Not only does Endwalker offer a satisfying conclusion to one chapter of Final Fantasy XIV, but it creates an amazing foundation for the MMO’s future. Endwalker will ensure that Final Fantasy XIV’s recent meteoric rise won’t come crashing back down to earth any time soon. Final Fantasy XIV’s prospects are over the moon.

    About the game

Yet shadowed by their triumph in the First, the Warrior of Light and Scions of the Seventh Dawn are home at last. An even greater calamity than refulgent oblivion has been building in their absence, however─a second advent of the Final Days. Should all despair, the myriad conflicts that now ravage the land cannot but foretoken an end to life in the Source.
