Je tu síce vyššia miera kritiky, no zároveň si treba uvedomiť, že štart novej ságy či nadväzovanie na pôvodné udalosti si pýta zmenu tempa, nové postavy i prostredia. A to, že tempo či zápletka nesadnú každému? Chce to čas, lebo to je pre väčší obsah na mesiac-dva. Teraz príde na rad séria patchov a trvanlivosť novinky.

It doesn’t always hit the mark with incredibly slow opening hours and odd choices that permeate the entire expansion but there’s a lot to like about it as well. The battle content, soundtrack, and some impactful moments all come together to help push up an otherwise struggling expansion and this makes it a mostly excellent addition.

Un continente lleno de vida, con zonas de enorme belleza y nuevas razas y personajes que enseguida se sienten familiares. Nuevas clases jugables que aportan mayor dinamismo, así como unos combates y desafíos más retantes que nunca. Todo esto, junto a las mejoras gráficas recibidas y una banda sonora sublime, hacen destacar a una expansión que no sobresale tanto como otras en su historia principal, pero que continuará desarrollándose y estableciendo los cimientos de la nueva saga de Final Fantasy XIV.

Thankfully, it’s a superb foundational expansion that evolves the world of the game in meaningful ways with a main scenario quest line chock full of excellent characters and phenomenal, culturally-rich worldbuilding. Even early on, content is some of the most engaging it’s been in years, with phenomenal dungeon, raid, and trial design.

Deux nouveaux jobs intéressants, des nouveaux donjons palpitants, dans un environnement magnifique propulsé par une update graphique bienvenue, que du bonheur, et une promesse d’une aventure dingue qui récompensera ceux qui seront assez patients pour traverser un scénario un peu lent au démarrage. Cette nouvelle ère de Final Fantasy XIV est un moteur diesel, on est juste un peu frustrés de s’arrêter juste au moment où il commençait à être chaud.
Ben · Jul 22, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Although it admittedly doesn’t quite hit the heights of Shadowbringers, Dawntrail’s shift in narrative focus injects a vibrancy into Final Fantasy XIV with this more lighthearted romp, while still keeping track of a greater story. With an increase in challenge of the instances, a couple of excellent new Jobs, an introduction of new characters, and the development of existing ones, Dawntrail clearly shows there’s life after averting the end of the world and I – for one – wouldn't change a damn thing.
