- FIFA 13 on Nintendo’s new hardware is a surprisingly robust experience. Nintendo junkies will be able to fully appreciate the HD visuals and sounds in this game; however, there are a few issues that pop up and the omission of key features from other consoles make it more like FIFA 12.5.
Frank Naresh · Dec 13, 2012 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - FIFA 13 is lacking a lot of the cool features found in other versions, and trades them in for things unique to this platform. You might get a kick out of the uses that EA has found for the GamePad, even if they cost you a game or two in your FIFA career. But FIFA 13 is a nice start for the franchise on the Wii U, even if it’s slanted more towards those that are looking to play locally with friends.
William Schwartz · Dec 05, 2012 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - FIFA 13 for Wii U is a fine simulation of the world's favourite sport. In footballing circles, the only game that beats it is its own sequel, which is already out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and also happens to be called FIFA 13. The chances are that if you’re really into football games, you've been playing FIFA on one of the other home formats for a while and will have played this edition of the game to death already. If you aren't, then you’ll have no interest in FIFA 13 anyway.
Ken Barnes · Dec 03, 2012 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - FIFA’s first iteration on Nintendo’s new hardware is a surprisingly robust experience that, while has its share of issues, implements the gamepad fairly well. While the touch controls don’t feel as practical as they could be outside team management, the number of options and stats that can be displayed on the device is still a welcome addition. With true-to-life gameplay, a variety of modes to play and a well implemented multiplayer experience, FIFA Soccer 13 for the Wii U is a respectable step in the right direction.
Adam Beck · Nov 21, 2012 Reviewed on Wii URead full review - The game itself plays well to be fair, and if you can get past the shortcomings compared to the PS3 version then you’ll not regret your purchase since it's the best way to play a football game on the go. Unless you bought the launch game, when then you would have every right to be furious with FIFA 13 on the PS Vita.
Paul Kelly · Oct 26, 2012 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - All of which leaves us more or less where we were last year – with the finest football game currently available, unmatched in terms of its mechanics, but which is also crying out for some serious redevelopment. In its current form FIFA has reached a plateau, and either the game – or the way we pay for it – are due for a major overhaul.
Nathan Ditum · Oct 21, 2012 Reviewed on PCRead full review - If it's more of the same you want, with a few extras, some more polish and updated player rosters, have no fear – FIFA 13 scores effortlessly on that front. There aren't a whole lot of huge changes during this run out, but the substitutions across each mode, plus some smart new diversions such as Skill Games, the great integration of live team updates and tightened mechanics, ensure that it stays on top of the table for another year.
Mike Mason · Oct 12, 2012 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - For year after year fans, the differences are going to be subtle yet very impacting on the soccer experience. First touch is a welcome addition, and the sheer amount of career, manager, and fantasy modes is more than a year’s worth of content in my opinion. More than a roster update and less than a complete overhaul, FIFA 13 hits the sweet spot yet again for soccer fans in 2012.
Bill Hess · Sep 29, 2012 Reviewed onRead full review - I can say without hesitation that FIFA 13 has topped FIFA 12 while maintaining every improvement that it introduced. The inclusion of surprisingly awesome Kinect features and extra in-game rewards offers new reasons to play and builds upon last year's solid foundation. Finally, the complete dribbling mechanics and First Touch Control dive into the gameplay equivalent of the "uncanny valley," offering an unrivaled sense of realism and unparalleled excitement.
Mike Suszek · Sep 28, 2012 Reviewed on X360 - Last year’s game featured major enhancements, and FIFA 13 is a disappointment in comparison. However, refined offensive controls, a brisker pace, and a focus on thoughtful, skillful play ultimately help this year’s installment achieve an identity. If you live and breathe football, there are enough additions to warrant a purchase. Casual players can skip unlucky 13 and wait for the next big step forward.
